Mahindra has unveiled the refreshed edition of the XUV400 EV, incorporating eight new features. These enhancements are exclusively available in the top-tier EL variant of the XUV400, which is priced at Rs 19.19 lakh, ex-showroom.
The newly updated Mahindra XUV400 now boasts a range of additional features, including an electronic stability program (ESP), hill hold assist, a tyre pressure monitoring system, an auto-dimming internal rearview mirror (IRVM), and a cruise control system. Furthermore, the electric SUV has been outfitted with fog lamps and a boot lamp, while the audio system has been upgraded to include a pair of tweeters.

Mahindra is offering the XUV400 in two variants. The entry-level EC variant is driven by a 34.5 kWh battery pack that generates 150 Ps and 310 Nm of peak torque. This EC variant boasts a certified driving range of 375 km (MIDC), surpassing the range of the Tata Nexon EV Prime – the country’s top-selling EV. The EC variant comes equipped with features such as all 4 disc brakes, R16 steel rims, halogen headlamps, LED tail lamps, L-mode for single pedal city driving, connected car functionalities, multiple drive and steering modes, electrically adjustable ORVMs, manual AC, fabric seats, and an adjustable driver’s seat, among others.
The top-end variant is the EL model, which employs a 39.4 kWh battery pack producing 150 Ps and 310 Nm of peak torque. While the power output remains unchanged, this EL variant offers an extended driving range. With a certified range of 456 km, it once again exceeds that of the Nexon EV Max. In addition to features present in the EC variant, the EL includes follow-me-home headlamps, a reverse parking camera, side & curtain airbags, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, projector headlamps with LED DRLs, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, keyless entry, a start/stop button, automatic headlamps and wipers, leatherette upholstery, an electric sunroof, front and rear armrests, and more.
The base EC variant of the XUV400 comes with two charging options. The 3.3 kW charger version is priced at Rs 15.99 lakh, ex-showroom, while the 7.2 kW version is available at Rs 16.49 lakh, ex-showroom. The XUV400 EL variant is priced at Rs 18.99 lakh, ex-showroom. Mahindra asserts that the XUV400 claims the fastest acceleration in the non-luxury segment. It achieves a 0-100 kmph sprint in just 8.3 seconds and reaches a top speed of 150 kmph. Notably, the XUV400 is not a sub-4-meter SUV; it measures 4200 mm in length and features a wheelbase of 2600 mm, resulting in exceptional cabin space and legroom. Moreover, it boasts a class-leading boot space of 378 litres.
