Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest carmaker, has raised the safety bar with the latest update to their highly popular premium hatchback, the 2023 Maruti Suzuki Baleno. The base Sigma variant of the Baleno has received several upgrades, and a video of the updated 2023 Baleno has recently been shared online. This particular car was also loaded with accessories by the showroom.

The video of the new 2023 Baleno Sigma variant has been shared on YouTube by AWD on their channel. The video showcases the 2023 Maruti Suzuki Baleno base variant and begins with the presenter drawing attention to the safety-oriented enhancements made by the company in this latest model year update. Primarily focused on bolstering safety, the Baleno Sigma now comes equipped with a headrest for the middle seat occupant in the rear. This addition ensures that passengers in the back are provided with an extra layer of protection during their journeys.

Furthermore, Maruti Suzuki’s commitment to road safety has been further exemplified by the inclusion of a three-point seatbelt for the rear center passenger. This crucial safety feature aligns with the recent announcement by Nitin Gadkari, the Minister of Road Transport and Highways, mandating all front-facing passengers in new vehicles to adhere to a three-point seatbelt. The initiative is part of a larger goal to reduce road fatalities in India by half by the end of 2025.

The video goes on to give viewers a detailed look at the exterior of the 2023 Baleno Sigma. As the base variant, it carries a matte black grille, although it lacks fog lamps. The headlamps come with a projector setup, but the presenter notes they have a yellow throw. Unlike higher variants that offer both manual and automatic transmission options, the Sigma variant is exclusively available with a manual transmission.
