The 2024 Hyundai Creta is likely to follow the design of the Santa Fe

Hyundai is currently working on the 2024 Creta, and it has been spotted with camouflage several times. We came across some of the spy pictures and videos of the upcoming Creta facelift. And based on them, our guess is that the next-gen Creta is going to take cues from the just-revealed 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe. This makes sense, as the Hyundai Exter has already taken design inspiration from the Santa Fe.

The rendered image we’ve featured here essentially transplants front of the Santa Fe on to the current Hyundai Creta. The 2024 Santa Fe features a lot of straight lines, a boxier shape than earlier and H-shaped LEDs in the front. Hyundai will not make it an exact copy as you see here – they would tweak the lines and shapes a bit to differentiate the designs, but the overall theme is likely to be this. This is what happened with the Exter in India – you can see the Santa Fe lines on it easily, but there are enough differences too. Similarly, some differences can be expected on the 2024 Hyundai Creta facelift.

As per the render, the front end of the SUV will be completely revised. It gets an H-shaped LED DRL, similar to the one seen on the Exter and Santa Fe. The headlamps are also integrated into this cluster, not on the bumper like the current version. There is a bar that splits the front grille horizontally. It could be an LED light bar, similar to what we have seen in the Santa Fe or even the new generation Verna.

The bumper and the lower front grille also take inspiration from the Santa Fe SUV. It should be noted that the image shown here is just a digital render, and the actual product might be different. We can also expect more features than before. One of the major upgrades would be the addition of ADAS. Just like the recently launched Kia Seltos, the 2024 Creta would also come with ADAS. This feature has now become very common among cars in this segment. The test mules spotted had the older interiors, but Hyundai is most likely to make some significant changes to the dashboard, infotainment screen, and the instrument cluster. We won’t be surprised if Hyundai comes up with any segment-first features with the new Creta.

When it comes to engine and transmission options, the Creta is likely to continue with the same engine options except the turbo petrol. The 1.4-liter turbocharged petrol engine option is most likely to be replaced with a more powerful 1.5-liter turbocharged unit, which is now offered with the Seltos. This engine would come with a 7-speed DCT option. Whether it will get an iMT gearbox, we’ll have to wait and see. Other than this, the Creta will continue to get a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.5-liter turbo diesel engine with manual and automatic transmission options.

The Santa Fe was once offered in the Indian market, but due to low demand, the manufacturer discontinued it.

According to various reports, Hyundai is most likely to launch the updated Creta next year. Hyundai Creta is currently the most popular SUV in its segment. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Creta has been dominating this segment for years. Even new entrants in this segment could not challenge its throne. The current generation Creta has been in the market for a few years, and a facelift for Creta has been long overdue. However, there are some new challengers who are inching closer to Creta – the Maruti Grand Vitara is one, the Toyota Hyryder is another. And just last month, we saw the launch of the Honda Elevate – the first direct challenge to the Creta from Honda. And we also had the Citroen C3 Aircross which also might take away a small chunk of the market.
