New 2024 Mahindra XUV700 AX5 Select: In-depth Walkaround Of Best Value-For-Money Trim [Video]

Mahindra recently launched the all-new XUV700 AX5 Select variant in India. This variant now serves as the most affordable variant to come equipped with the panoramic sunroof. It also gets the seven-seat layout. Recently, a video showing this all-new model in detail has been shared online. This variant sits between the AX3 and AX5 variants in the XUV700 lineup.
This video of the in-depth walkaround of the new Mahindra XUV700 AX5 Select has been shared on YouTube. It comes courtesy of Her Garage. It starts with the presenter introducing the car and talking about its price. She states that this variant is priced at Rs 17.69 lakh. It is also finished in the new Napoli Black color.
Following the introduction of the car, the vlogger then starts the in-depth walkaround. She first starts at the exterior of this car. At the front, this variant comes with the same all-LED headlight setup.
It also gets the same LED DRLs and LED fog lights as well. The grille is finished in gloss black with brushed silver elements. From the front, it looks exactly like the top-spec AX7L variant.
After showing the front end, the vlogger then talks about the side profile. The first thing that she shows are the alloy wheels. This variant comes with 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. The top-spec variants come with 18-inch machined alloy wheels.
She also mentions that it gets flush-type door handles and electronically operated ORVMs. Sadly, they do not fold automatically. Next up, she adds that the company offers the AX5 Select variant with disc brakes on all four corners.
Following the side profile, the vlogger then shows the rear end of this car. It continues to get the same rear end design with a shark fin antenna, rear spoiler, and rear window wiper, washer, and defogger. It also gets LED taillights. However, the reverse light is still a halogen bulb.
Apart from this, she mentions that it gets a reverse parking camera and two parking sensors. She adds that a car of this size should come equipped with at least four parking sensors. Overall, the car from the outside does not look any different from the more expensive AX5 trim.
After this, she moves to the interior of the car. The new Mahindra XUV700 AX5 Select variant comes with the same dashboard layout. Its main highlights are the twin connected 10.25-inch screens. The one on the left is for the infotainment system and the right one is the digital instrument gauge cluster.
Next up, she adds that this variant gets a manual air conditioning system. It also misses out on a wireless charger and push-button start. Another main highlight of this variant is that it gets a panoramic sunroof, which Mahindra calls the Skyroof. Lastly, she shows the newly added third row of seats to the AX5 variant.
This variant comes with two engine options. The first is a 2.0 petrol engine that produces 200 bhp and 380 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the other option is a 2.2-litre diesel which, in the less powerful tune, offers 155 bhp and 355 Nm of torque.
On the other hand, the more powerful tune churns out 185 bhp and 420 Nm of torque. The torque figure gets bumped up to 450 Nm in the automatic variant.
