No CVT transmission
The 2024 Swift in the international markets is being offered with a CVT. Now, both the Dzire and Swift, which will utilize the same powertrain as the international model, have been reported to not get the CVT automatic transmission option in India.
Hybrid Option
While specifics are yet to be confirmed, there are indications that the Dzire may offer a hybrid powertrain option, potentially featuring a 12V mild hybrid system or a strong hybrid system as well.
Launch Timeline
While exact launch dates have not been disclosed, anticipation is high. With the Swift slated for release around April 15th, the Dzire is expected to follow shortly after. Most likely, it will be launched a few months later, bang in the middle of the great Indian festive season – a time when car sales peak.
Pricing and Competition
The 2024 Maruti Dzire is ready to shake up the sub-compact sedan segment. Most likely, it will be priced in the same range as the current model – Rs 6.57 to 9.39 lakh. Once launched, it will continue to compete with rivals such as the Honda Amaze, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor.
