Every new month brings an array of new automotive launches in India, and the month of July will be no exception. This July, we will witness the launches of three highly anticipated models in the country. The list will include launches from prominent automakers: Maruti Suzuki India Limited, Kia Motors India, and Hyundai Motor India. So, if you are waiting to get a new car in July, here is the list of cars that will be joining the Indian automotive market.
Maruti Suzuki Invicto
First and foremost, the country’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, will be unveiling its most expensive model yet, the premium MPV Invicto, on July 5. This new MPV will be based on the outgoing Toyota Innova Hycross and will boast some exterior design changes to differentiate it from the highly successful Toyota model. Earlier, this model was expected to be named the Maruti Suzuki Engage; however, recently it was reported that it will be named the Invicto. As mentioned, there will be only subtle changes to the front grille and bumper, and the rest of the car will almost exactly be the same as the Innova Hycross.
Just like the Toyota HyCross, the Maruti Suzuki Invicto will come equipped with a petrol engine, as well as a petrol-electric hybrid option. The petrol Invicto will offer 172.99 bhp from a 1987 cc petrol engine. This four-cylinder engine will come mated to a CVT transmission and offer an ARAI certified mileage of 16.13 kmpl. The Invicto will also come with the petrol-electric hybrid motor of the Toyota HyCross. This engine-motor combination offers a certified fuel economy of 23.24 kmpl, with a maximum power output of 183.72 bhp. In terms of pricing, it will most likely carry the same price tag as the Toyota Innova Hycross, which is in the range of Rs. 18.55 – 29.99 Lakh.

Hyundai Exter
Following the launch of the Invicto, the South Korean automotive giant Hyundai Motor India will be launching its highly anticipated micro-SUV, the Exter. This new micro-SUV will be launched on July 10 and will compete with Tata Motors’ highly popular micro-SUV, the Punch. This new model will boast modern styling and offer a number of features to lure in buyers, and it will be priced competitively to gain market share in a short span of time. It is believed that Hyundai will be launching the Exter in the range of Rs 6 Lakh to Rs 10 lakh.
The Hyundai Exter will be equipped with a 1.2-liter four-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine as the sole powertrain option. This engine will be available with 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox options, delivering 83 bhp of power and 114 Nm of maximum torque. This is the same engine that Hyundai offers with other models like the Grand i10 Nios, Aura, and naturally-aspirated variants of the Venue.
Kia Seltos Facelift

Last but not least, the sibling brand of Hyundai, Kia Motors India, will be launching the much-awaited facelifted iteration of its highly popular mid-size SUV, the Seltos. The new Kia Seltos facelift will receive a reworked fascia, with a tweaked front grille and new headlamps with revised daytime running LEDs and fog lamps. Additionally, the forthcoming facelifted model will also boast an all-new front bumper with a bigger and revised silver skid plate. As for the rear, the Seltos facelift will get tweaked LED tail lamps with an LED connecting light bar across the width of the boot lid.
One of the biggest changes on the new Seltos facelift will be the offering of a panoramic sunroof, just like its sibling, the Hyundai Creta. Currently, Kia only offers a single-pane sunroof in the Seltos. The 2023 Kia Seltos facelift will also be different from the present model, with the new model having a new cockpit layout for the instrument console and touchscreen infotainment system.
As for the powertrain side of things, the 1.5-liter petrol engine with 115 horsepower and 144 Nm, as well as the 1.5-liter turbo-diesel engine with 116 horsepower and 250 Nm, will both remain in the Seltos facelift. Kia is also anticipated to reintroduce the turbo-petrol engine in the Seltos, although in 160 horsepower and 253 Nm of torque tune, as opposed to the 140 horsepower and 242 Nm of torque. The new turbo-petrol engine may be paired with a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission as well. The official launch dates have not been revealed by the company yet, but we can expect it to be in mid to late July. As for the pricing, we can expect a slight bump in price from the existing model.
