Hyundai is all set to launch their second car in the Indian market in this calendar year. The second-largest car manufacturer in India, Hyundai has been around for years in the market and launch the all-new Hyundai Venue, all-new Grand i10 NIOS and the in the market last year. This year, the manufacturer launched the all-new Xcent to take on the Dzire. The South Korean manufacturer still has four cars that will be launched in the Indian market later this year. Here are the details of all the four cars that will be launched in India in the coming days.
All-new Hyundai Creta
Launch date: 17th March 2020
The all-new Hyundai Creta will be launched in the Indian market later this month. The car is based on a new platform and will offer three new engines. The all-new Creta will offer 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel and a more powerful 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine options. All three engine options will also offer three different types of transmission. The new Creta will also offer new features including leatherette seats, digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, BlueLink infotainment system and more. It will take on the Kia Seltos head-on.
Hyundai Verna facelift
Expected launch: April 2020
Hyundai officially released the teaser images of the new Verna facelift and it will be launched in the Indian market next month. The new Verna gets a lot of cosmetic changes including new all-LED headlamps, new all-LED tail lamps, new grille, bumpers and more. The car looks much more aggressive than the current version of the sedan. The Hyundai Verna will get 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol, a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated diesel and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine option with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
Hyundai Tucson facelift
Expected launch: March 2020
Hyundai officially showcased the new Tucson facelift at the 2020 Auto Expo earlier this year. The car will be launched with quite a few changes to make it look fresher in the market. It will be launched as a CKD vehicle and will offer two engine options – 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel and a 2.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The Tucson gets a new grille, new sleeker headlamps and new features in the cabin. The Tucson takes on the likes of Jeep Compass directly in the Indian market.
All-new Hyundai Elite i20
Expected launch: Mid 2020
Hyundai is testing the all-new Elite i20 on the Indian roads and will launch the car later this year. The all-new Hyundai Elite i20 will offer a much more aggressive design and will get the new set of BS6 compliant engines that are also available with the Verna. The Hyundai Elite i20 will be launched with three engine options – 1.5 petrol, 1.5 diesel and 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol. Even the Elite i20 is expected to get the 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
