4 upcoming Tata SUVs and what they’ll look like: Harrier Facelift to Punch EV

Tata is one of the leading car manufacturer in Indian market. They are making good progress the electric vehicle space and in the last couple of years, Tata has launched 3 electric vehicles in India. Along with the electrcic vehicles, Tata is also working on ICE vehicles. Some of them are facelifts while others are generation update and new vehicles. Here we have a list of 4 upcoming Tata SUVs that are expected to be launched in the market soon. In this article we also share how these SUVs might look like.

Tata Harrier Facelift

Tata Harrier is popular SUV in its segment and it has a muscular looking design to it. With competition rising in this segment, Harrier has started to look dated and that is why Tata is currently working on a facelift for the Harrier. The manufacturer is currently testing the facelift version and several digitally rendered images of the SUV are now available online. The facelift is expected to be showcased to public at the 2023 Auto Expo. Apart from the design changes, there are reports that suggest that Tata might offer ADAS features with the mid-size SUV. It will continue to draw power from the 2.0 litre turbo diesel engine and would be offered with manual and automatic transmission option.

Tata Punch EV

Punch is Tata’s entry level SUV and it is again popular among buyers for its looks and build quality. We won’t be surprised if Tata launches an EV based on this micro SUV. It would be positioned above Tata Tiago EV and it would offer a similar kind of range as the other Tata cars. Tata had already mentioned that they are exploring other powertrain option for Punch and is EV is probably one among them. It is most likely to look just like the regular Punch SUV and the electric blue highlights would differentiate it.

Tata Blackbird

Tata Blackbird is a mid-size SUV that the manufacturer is expected to launch in the market soon. It will be positioned below Harrier and will compete with cars like Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder and Maruti Grand Vitara. The SUV is expected to come with a 1.2 litre turbo petrol engine and in future, Tata might also launch an electric version of the same. Tata has officially not mentioned anything about this SUV but, various websites have suggested that the manufacturer might unveil this SUV to public next year.

Next-gen Tata Nexon

Nexon is one of the most popular SUVs from the manufacturer in India. Tata launched the facelift of Nexon in the market back in 2020. It was something that can be called as a mid-life update and the first generation Nexon is towards the end of its life cycle. There are several render images that have surfaced online showcasing how the next-gen Nexon might look like.

This particular example shows a completely redesigned front-end that looks a lot more sleeker and premium with LED headlamps and gloss black grille. The rear end of the SUV looks slightly inspired from other Tata products like Harrier and Safari. It should be noted that most of the cars shown in the list are renders and the production version might look different.
