5 AWESOME exotic car & SUV import in India; From Camaro to Tesla

Due to the restricted entry of imported cars and huge tax implementations on them, India rarely sees exotic vehicles. However, there are enough such cars importer privately to make the enthusiasts happy. Here are five such exotics from India.

Mclaren 720S

 

This is the second Mclaren 720S that has been seen in India. Just like the other car, this one too is here on the Carnet. Mclaren showcased the 720S at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this year, and it has become a topic of talk in the car enthusiast’s circle. The Mclaren introduced a brand new engine with the 720S. It is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine that produces a maximum of 710 Bhp and 770 Nm. Mclaren does not sell cars officially in India yet.

Cadillac Escalade

The Escalade is a monster SUV that is widely used by the politicos and industrialists in the USA. This is a brand new Escalade seen here, and it has been converted to the RHD layout as the SUV is only available in the LHD markets. This Escalade may be registered with an Indian number as it is brand new and is RHD. The Escalade is powered by a humongous 6.2-litre V8 engine that produces a maximum power of 420 Bhp and peak torque of 624 Nm. This vehicle attracts a lot of eyes due to its extreme size and massive road presence.

Tesla Model X

 

Now there has been a lot of talks about Tesla in the Indian market due to its extreme capabilities. In India, people are still waiting for an official launch. Someone has privately imported the Tesla Model X in India, and it has become the first one to land here. It is the Tesla’s one of the fastest cars to be built and can go from 0-100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds. The top speed is limited to 250 km/h. It is a fully electric car gets two electric motors. The front motor produces 259 PS, and the rear one produces 503 PS. Together, the motors produce a total of 967 Nm.

Chevrolet Camaro

After the Ford Mustang officially landed in India, there was hope of Chevrolet launching the Camaro. Sadly, Chevrolet exited the country in a jiffy. That doesn’t stop enthusiasts from using the car in India. Seen here is a ZL1 Camaro that came to India via Carnet.

The bright yellow Camaro that attracted major attention in the movie Transformers is a ZL1 variant. It is powered by a massive 6.2-litre supercharged V8 engine that generates 580 Bhp.

Ferrari 328 GTS

There are many modern-day Ferraris in India, but this one is a real classic which is rare even in the international markets. This Ferrari 328 GTS was launched in 1986, and it is regarded as one of the most reliable Ferraris ever built. The car is powered by a 3.2-litre V8 engine that develops a maximum of 270 Bhp and 313 Nm. The car can do 0-96.5 km/h in 5.9 seconds and can reach a top speed of 262 km/h.
