There were many cars showcased at the recently concluded Paris Motor Show. Many of the cars will be arriving in India soon. Of all the cars, we take a look of 5 SUVs that were unveiled at Paris, and that’ll soon arrive into the market here.

Suzuki S-Cross

The S-Cross has become fairly popular in the Indian market. Suzuki has given the car minor visual updates to keep it fresh in the market. The car gets new a face to start with and it looks much bolder.

The front grille has been replaced with vertical chrome stripes and it also gets new LED fitments in the headlamp unit. The tail lamps are also updated with LED lamps. The plastic diffuser is now much more aggressively designed.

The interiors remain mostly unchanged except new soft-touch materials and new fabric used in the car. The facelift of the car will also get satellite navigation, rear parking sensors, and dual automatic climate control. The car will get new engine options for the European market but in India, the car will be powered by the current set of 1.4-litre and 1.6-litre diesel engines.

Land Rover Discovery

The Land Rover Discovery is an old name in the world of SUVs. Land Rover recently unveiled the 5th generation of the iconic car at the Paris Motor Show and will soon come to India. The new Land Rover Discovery has now shed its skin and looks nothing like the model that it replaced. It now follows the new design language of the JLR family.

The Discovery is also bigger in size and lighter in weight. The car that can accommodate up to 7 people is powered by a V6 petrol engine or Turbocharged diesel engine from the new Ingenium family. The car gets 8-speed dual clutch transmission from ZF and gets host of off-road aids. The car is capable enough to wade through 35-inches of water and comes with JLR’s accomplished terrain management system.

Skoda Kodiaq

The Kodiaq is Skoda’s first ever 7-seater SUV. The Czech manufacturer revealed that the car will arrive in India next year and was unveiled at Paris recently. The Kodiaq looks bold and has a very clean design. It is built around the Volkswagen’s MQB platform, which also forms the base of Skoda Superb and Octavia. The SUV has many never-seen-before-in-Skoda vehicle features.

To start with, the headlamps of the Kodiaq is all LED. The Kodiaq in powered by 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine. The 6-speed manual transmission will be standard while it will also come with a 7-speed DSG as an optional equipment. Inside, the car gets Skoda Connect Touch sensitive infotainment that will have features like Google Earth, 360-degree camera, WiFi hootspot and Apple CarPlay and Google Auto support.

Audi Q5

Audi recently paused the production and sale of the current Q5 in India due to emission norms. Audi will bring the second-generation of the Q5 to Indian shores soon. The new Q5 was recently unveiled and will be launched here by early next year. The new Audi Q5 is built on MLB-Evo platform and is lighter, longer and wider than the current model.

The new Q5 also gets an updated equipment list. The car gets the an all-new 12.3 inch digital instrument cluster in form of Audi Virtual Cockpit. The new Q5 also get Apple CarPlay and Google Auto connectivity for the infotainment system. The car will be powered by the same 2.0-litre Turbo petrol engine that also powers the new A4 in India. Audi will also bring 2.0-litre diesel engine with the Q5 in India.

Renault Koleos

The Koleos was dropped from the Indian line-up of Renault due to poor performance. The SUV will make a comeback to the Indian market in an all-new avatar. The all-new Koleos is based on the CMF-CD platform that has been developed by Renault-Nissan Alliance. The car now offer roomier interios with occupants getting 289mm of extra knee room over the outgoing model.

The new Koleos will also be very high in luxury. The SUV will get R-LINK 2 multimedia tablet which is a very high-tech and will be available with the top-end models. The new Koleos will get 4WD. The car will get two diesel engines with power output of 130 BHP and 175 BHP. The 6-speed manual transmission will be standard while the X-Tronic automatic transmission will be optional in the upcoming Koleos.
