Datsun GO+ Facelift
The GO+ is a very economical choice for someone who wants a decent MPV in an affordable price range. The new version will geta new bumper with LED DRLs along with redesigned headlights. On the inside, changes include a new dashboard design with a centrally mounted 6.75-inch touchscreen infotainment screen.
It will continue to be offered with the current three-cylinder, 1.2-litre petrol engine, mated to a five-speed manual transmission. An automatic transmission could be offered as an option. Prices are expected to be around Rs. 4 lakhs. The company is expected to launch the vehicle somewhere around September.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga
The new Ertiga was expected to be launched this August, but Maruti Suzuki seems to have made a change in plans. The Ciaz launch this month could also be a factor. However, now the company plans to launch the vehicle during the festive season in October. The new Ertiga is now more spacious thanks to an increase in its dimensions. Further, it is built on the new Heartect platform and will be powered by the same old 1.4-litre four-cylinder petrol engine. Also, reports say that the company’s newly developed 1.5-litre diesel engine is likely to replace the ageing 1.3-litre four-cylinder motor. An all-new 4 speed auto transmission is also reported to accompany the engines. Improved cabin space and dynamics are to be expected too. Expect prices to start at Rs. 6.5 lakh.

This vehicle is the closest to its launch, scheduled for 3rd September. The Marazzo is the first monocoque frame MPV from the Mahindra’s stables, and the largest one too. Pre-bookings are already going on and it for sure has gained a great deal of attention. The vehicle get a new BSVI compliant 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine expected to produce around 125 Bhp of power and 300 Nm of torque. Manual and automatic gearbox options are likely to accompany the engine. Expect Mahindra to maintain their value-for-money quotient and price the vehicle starting below Rs. 10 lakh.
Mahindra’s new flagship is actually a rebadged Ssangyong Rexton G4, and we aren’t complaining. The XUV700 will be the most luxurious Mahindra ever with many first-in-class features, such as heated/ventilated seats among others. The Mahindra XUV700 also will be loaded to the brim with safety features, such as ABS, EBD, 9 airbags and many more. A2.2-litre diesel engine producing a maximum power of 179 Bhp and 420 Nm will be doing the powertrain duty. It will be mated to a Mercedes-Benz sourced 7-speed automatic transmission. Pricing is where Mahindra will use its magic wand, so expect it to be positioned somewhere near Rs. 24 lakh mark making it much cheaper than the competition.
The popular soft-roader was long due for an update. Honda has now planned to bring in the new CR-V, which is already on sale in some foreign markets. The car would be launched around October-end this year with prices expected to start at or above Rs. 25 lakhs. The new CR-V will be available with a 1.6-litre diesel producing 120 PS of power and 300 Nm of torque and a 2.0-litre petrol giving out 154 PS of power and 189 Nm of torque.
Diesel variants will feature a 9-speed automatic, whereas the petrol ones will get a CVT. Also, for the first time, the car will be offered with a seven seater configuration.
