Tata Nano tried to disrupt the car market with the “cheapest car in the world” – Nano. The car, however, did not gain as much popularity as Tata had expected. Tata is now working on an all-new Nano that is internally known as Pelican. The Pelican may share a similar shape with the Nano but it will come with many new updated features. The car will get new, bigger headlamps and tail lamps.

On the inside, there are major upgrades like an all-new dashboard that resembles the higher segment vehicles from Tata. The speedometer has also changed location and is now placed in front of the driver. The Pelican may also be launched as an electric vehicle as there is a report that suggests that the electric Nano has been tested successfully by Tata in India.
