Maruti Suzuki Dzire is the largest selling entry-level sedan in India. The Dzire has the sporty looks of the Swift and borrows its engines from the Swift as well. With a large boot, the Dzire is more practical for long out of station trips. Here, we focus on why the Dzire is popular among entry level sedan buyers for its features and gadgetry.
The Dzire is available in 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel version. The 1.2-litre power mill puts out 84 bhp of power and returns an ARAI-certified mileage of 17.94 kmpl. The 1.3-litre diesel engine puts out 74 bhp of power and returns an ARAI-certified mileage of 21.70 kmpl.

The Dzire has an impressive features list at a comparatively lower price. Further, its performance and mileage characteristics stand close to the Swift. Hence, the maintenance cost too, is closer to that of the Swift. The Dzire is available in three petrol (LXI, VXI and ZXI) and three diesel (LDI, VDI and ZDI) variants, with prices ranging from Rs. 4.95 lakh for the base petrol variant to Rs. 7.20 lakh for the top-end diesel variant.
Sporty front: The Dzire has the same sporty front that the Swift small car, what differentiates it however is the front grille with chrome tipped horizontal slats. The fog lamps are deep set and can easily be ignored by a casual observer. On the downside, the design of the boot is a bit awkward and doesn’t gel with the overall structure of the sedan.

Audio Controls on steering wheel: The Dzire gets steering-mounted audio controls, so you need not take your hand off the steering wheel to change channels or toggle volume while driving.

In-car Entertainment: The Dzire comes with a 2-DIN music system that can play CD, MP3 and AM/FM. The music system is connected to four speakers with two speakers fitted on the front door and two speakers fitted on the rear parcel tray. But features such as USB/Aux-in ports and Bluetooth are missing.
Automatic climate control: The Dzire gets automatic climate control with neatly laid out switches for easy operation. Ensuring that the temperature inside the cabin stays pleasant no matter what the weather outside is.

Power windows: The Dzire gets all four individual power windows, while the driver-side power window has an auto down feature for easy operation.
