5 upcoming retro bikes priced below Rs. 2.5 lakhs in India

While there are almost no retro-design inspired cars that you can buy in India today, there are many such motorcycles in the market. If you’re looking for affordable retro motorcycles that you can buy in India, here is a list of five upcoming affordable retro-design inspired bikes.

Benelli Imperiale

Expected price: Rs. 2.5 lakh, ex-showroom

The Benelli Imperiale will be the first proper retro-modern motorcycle to challenge the Royal Enfield legacy in India. The bike gets a classy, simple design with features like split seats, round headlamps, spoked wheels, chrome-dipped parts and more. Modern bits include the front disc brake with ABS and fuel injected engine. It is powered by a 373-cc, air-cooled engine that generates a maximum of 20 Bhp and 28 Nm. The bike is expected to be launched by August this year.

Cleveland Ace Deluxe

Expected price: Rs. 2.0 lakh, ex-showroom

The American brand, Cleveland Cycleworks, showcased its range of motorcycles at the 2018 Auto Expo. The Ace Deluxe will be one of the first bikes from the brand that will be launched in India by the festive season this year. The design of the Ace Deluxe brings back the nostalgia of simple bike designs. The modern parts that the bike gets consist of upside-down front forks, a chrome-dipped round headlamp, straight seat and a front disc brake.

Cleveland Misfit

Expected price: Rs. 2.25 lakh, ex-showroom

Another bike from Cleveland is the Misfit. It gets the name because of its retro modern design that makes it quite attention-grabbing. The cafe racer-styled motorcycle will be launched during the festive season too. It gets upside down front forks, a 320-mm front disc brake and a 220-mm rear disc brake. Prices of all Cleveland bikes will start from around Rs. 1.5 lakhs. Both motorcycles are powered by a 229-cc single cylinder, four stroke-air cooled engine with 15.4 Bhp of peak power and 16 Nm of peak torque.

UM Renegade Duty S

Price: Rs. 1.1 lakh, ex-showroom

The old-school Scrambler styled Renegade Duty S that was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo will be launched by mid-2018. The motorcycle brings back memories of the good old days when retro Scramblers were aplenty in the market. The bike gets a Harley Davidson-inspired fuel tank that gives it a unique look in the segment. The Renegade Duty S looks quite modern with side DRL, blacked-out engine and cycle parts. It is powered by a new 223-cc engine that generates a maximum of 16.8 Bhp and 17 Nm.

UM Renegade Duty Ace

Price: Rs. 1.29 lakh, ex-showroom

The UM Renegade Duty was showcased alongside the Duty S at the 2018 Auto Expo. The bike is exactly the same as the Duty Ace but it gets a different, sporty styling that gives it a very modern look while keeping its retro-soul alive. The bike gets a headlamp cowl and new age body graphics. It also gets a dual-paint scheme on the fuel tank and a rear seat cowl that transforms it into a single-seater. Deliveries of the Duty Ace is expected to start in June 2018.
