5 year old Toyota Fortuner SUV neatly modified into Fortuner Legender [Video]

Toyota Fortuner is one of the most popular SUV in its segment. It is known for its rugged looks, reliability and off-road capabilities. We have seen several off-road videos of Toyota Fortuner on the internet. Toyota launched the Fortuner facelift and Legender version in the market last year. Legender is a much more premium looking version of the regular Fortuner. Many pre-facelift Toyota Fortuner owners are now modifying their normal Fortuner into Legender. We have seen similar videos of such modifications in the past. Here we have one such modification video where a 5 year old Toyota Fortuner has been neatly modified into a Fortuner Legender.

The video has been uploaded by VIG AUTO ACCESSORIES on their YouTube channel. The video starts with vlogger showing how the car looked when it had arrived at the dealership and then reveals the car after all the modification work. Video does not show the complete process. Starting with the front, the stock headlamps, grille, front bumper were removed. These were replaced with an aftermarket Legender front grille, bumper, all LED headlamps and fog lamps.

The matte black portion on the regular Legender grille have been finished in gloss black for a different look. The silver coloured skid plate on the bumper has now been finished in Red Satin shade. Coming to the side profile, the claddings on the wheel arches and the side step has been finished in piano black or gloss black shade. Lower door beading with Fortuner branding has been installed here. The door handles are all blacked out and the roof has been wrapped in gloss black. The ORVMs are also gloss black. The main attraction on the SUV are the wheels. The older stock alloy wheels have been replaced with Legender’s original 18 inch alloy wheels.

Coming to the rear, the Fortuner gets a gloss black applique running between the tail lights. The applique has illuminated Fortuner branding in it. The stock tail lamps have been replaced with Legender type aftermarket LED lights. The rear bumper on this SUV has also been replaced. Just like in the original Legender, the matrix style LED turn indicators are there on this Fortuner as well. The rear bumper also gets Satin Red accents at places.

Moving in, the cabin gets an Arctic white and black dual tone treatment. The door gets white colour leather padding on it. The car has illuminated scuff plates on it. The seats have been wrapped in custom fit white leather upholstery. The dashboard gets soft touch materials as well. There are floor mats and the steering wheel is also wrapped in leather. The fit and finish of the materials used inside the cabin looks good. The windows get clear film wrapped on it and there is ambient lights installed on the dashboard, doors and footwell area.

Overall, the car looks premium both on the inside and outside. The SUV does not look like a regular Fortuner from any angle. Fortuner is available with both petrol and diesel engine options whereas the Legender is available with a diesel engine only. It is available in both 2WD and 4WD options.
