If you are someone who wants a big family car but do not plan to use the vehicle often, Innova has a perfect variant. Toyota launched the petrol version of the Innova Crysta following the ban on the sale of 2.0-litre or bigger diesel vehicles in Delhi-NCR.
The petrol Innova is powered by a 2.7-litre four-cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 163 Bhp and peak torque of 245 Nm. The petrol version of the vehicle is available with both automatic and manual transmission. It is available in three variants, offering more option to choose from to the customers.
Want to self-drive it
If you want to drive around in the Innova by yourself and your daily commute involves a large part of city traffic, Toyota has an option for you. The Innova Crysta is also offered in automatic transmission with the diesel engine. The diesel automatic is only available with the 2.8-litre turbocharged engine option that generates a maximum power of 174 Bhp and 360 Nm of torque. The automatic gearbox is a 6-speed transmission and returns a maximum fuel efficiency of 14.29 km/l.
If you have a budget concern but you have made your mind on the Innova Crysta, there is an easy way out. While the petrol base variant is the cheapest Innova on the offer in the market and is priced at Rs. 14.2 lakh, ex-Delhi, Toyota also offers a cheaper diesel version. Powered by a 2.4-litre diesel engine, Toyota offers the Crysta diesel manual at Rs. 14.43 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi. The smaller engine is powerful enough for the Crysta. The 2.4-litre diesel engine generates a maximum power 147 Bhp and peak torque of 343 Nm.
People who want maximum safety
Toyota offers 3 airbags as standard across all the variants. The driver, co-driver and the knee airbag are available with every variant of the Innova along with ABS. The top variant – ZX comes with as many as 7 airbags. The variant gets dual front airbags, curtain airbags, side airbags and knee airbag. It makes the Innova Crysta ZX one of the safest MPV in the market.
Fuel efficiency is a concern but want luxury
The 2.4-litre diesel engine is the most efficient engine offered with the Innova Crysta. The turbocharged engine produces a maximum power of 147 Bhp and 343 Nm of maximum torque. As per ARAI, the 2.4-litre diesel engine returns a maximum fuel efficiency of 15.1 km/l. It is only available with a manual transmission. The 2.8-litre diesel engine gets an ARAI certified 15.1 km/l for the manual transmission.

Toyota recently launched the Touring Sport variant of the Innova Crysta. The new top-of-the-line variants were launched to celebrate the one year anniversary of the Crysta in the Indian market. The Crysta Touring Sport gets an eye-catchy red shade of colour along with many other new additions to the exterior.
The MPV gets a body kit with rugged wheel arch accents. The grille and tailgate garnish gets a black finish instead of chrome. The vehicle looks much sportier in the new avatar. Toyota offers both petrol and diesel engine options with the Touring Sport variants.
