Tata will launch the new Altroz iTURBO on 22nd January. Before that, Tata has revealed all the details and the specifications of the vehicle. While there is no differentiating form that sets the Altroz iTURBO apart from the standard versions, there are a few changes that are unique to the upcoming variant. What are these features? Well, here are eight of them.

Drive modes

The Altroz iTurbo will offer drive modes that are unique. The turbocharged petrol variant-powered Altroz will offer City and Sport drive mode. In Sport mode, the Altroz iTURBO will generate the maximum power and torque that the engine has to offer. In this mode, the three-cylinder turbocharged engine will produce a maximum power of 110 PS and peak torque of 140 Nm. It is the most powerful variant in the segment. In the City mode, the power and torque figures come down by 20-25% and the vehicle becomes more fuel-efficient. It serves both the purposes well.

Hinglish and Hindi commands

The new Altroz iTURBO offers the feature where the occupants can use voice commands in Hindi and Hinglish apart from the regular English language. This will Tata to target a much larger audience in the country. As India has more Hindi language speakers, they will be able to communicate with the infotainment system easily. There are over 70 Hindi and Hinglish commands that can be used with the Altroz iTURBO.

iRA Connected solution

iRA or Intelligent Real-time Assist is unique to the Altroz iTURBO. It is a real-time connected car feature that will offer a host of features to the owner. The iRA gets connected to the smartphone app and offers features like remote locking and unlocking the car, controlling the headlamps, Distance to empty figure, stolen vehicle tracking, remote immobilisation, emergency SMS warning, geo-fencing, time-fencing alert, valet mode and more. It also offers “What3Words” that allows the occupants to say three words to set the navigation automatically.

Xpress Cool

To overcome the hot, sunny conditions of the Indian summers, Tata has added the Xpress Cool feature to the Altroz iTURBO. Once activated through a button, it opens the driver-side window automatically and sets the AC temperature to the lowest. The fan speed is set to the maximum till the cabin reaches a designed ambient temperature.

Extra tweeters

The XZ and XZ+ variants of the Tata Altroz iTURBO offers two extra tweeters. This will integrate to the existing JBL speakers and will create a rich-sounding cabin. The extra tweeter is located in the front of the vehicle.

Colour

The new Tata Altroz iTURBO also offers a brand-new colour, which is the promotion colour of the vehicle. The new Harbour Blue colour is only available with the iTURBO variant. There are five colours in total that are also available with the other standard variants of the model.

One-touch up windows

The Altroz iTURBO also offers one-touch up window for the driver-side. This ensures easy operation of the window while driving the vehicle. Since the driver needs to concentrate on the roads all the time, the one-touch up and down window is quite useful.

Premium cabin

Tata has added a new dual-colour dashboard to the Altroz iTURBO hat offers a light-grey and black finish. It sure does looks quite good and offers a premium ambience.
