Renault launched the much talked about Duster compact SUV on July 4 in Delhi. The Duster is available in eight variants, with a price range of Rs. 7.19 lakh to Rs. 11.29 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The top of the line diesel variant of the Duster comes with plenty of features and here we’ll take a look at the features that make the Duster an attractive vehicle.
Safety Features: The Duster 110 PS RXZ Option pack comes with safety features like dual airbags, ABD, EBD and driver seat belt reminder etc. This ensures that the passengers inside stay safe in case of a collision. However there are no airbags for the rear seat passengers, which is a sore point from the safety point of view. At this price point though, the Duster is an attractive option. It also has other safety features like an engine immobilizer, Engine Protective Under Guard, reverse parking sensors etc. Also read: Renault Duster variants and specifications explained!

Rear AC vent: The Duster sports a rear AC vent which is a boon in the summers and unlike some other vehicles this is not just a comfort fan that pulls air in from the front and blows it to the rear seats. This is in fact an independent unit which works like the normal AC vents given upfront. Another interesting thing is the fact that the rear AC has an independent fan speed control, so the rear passengers can decide how cool they want the rear seats to be independent of the front passengers.
Steering mounted audio controls: The Duster also comes with steering mounted audio controls but they are not placed literally on the steering like we are used to seeing them. The Duster’s steering mounted audio controls are behind the right side of the steering wheel, below the wiper stalk.
Eight way adjustable driver seat: The driver seat of the top of the line Duster is eight way adjustable for height, recline, sliding and lumbar support. This makes it easy to find the ideal driving position no matter what your body-build.
Electric boot release: The boot of the Duster can be opened electrically and is centrally controlled via the keyless entry system. This means it is easier to open the boot especially when you are tugging luggage or are returning with a handful of shopping bags.
Reverse parking sensors: Reverse parking sensors on the Duster make it easier to park in tight spots and help you squeeze into small parking slots and garages.
Headlight Alarm: Another very useful feature on the Duster is the headlight on alarm, which reminds you the turn off your headlights each time you leave them on and walk off. This saves you from the horror of returning hours later to a dead battery.
