7 seat XPander: Mitsubishi’s next big thing for India detailed on video

Mitsubishi has been a brand that has not been able to establish itself in the Indian market despite having good products. The main reason behind this was the weak dealership networks, aftersales and the price too. The Lancer sedab from Mitsubishi is still a popular car among those who love to modify cars. Currently, Mitsubishi does not offer any model in the Indian market because none of the cars they used to sell here were BS6 compliant. But, earlier this year, there was a news that said, the manufacturer has a new partner in India and will be resuming the operations soon. One of the products that Mitsubishi is expected to bring apart from Pajero and Outlander is a 7-seater Xpander MPV. Here we have a video that what this MPV actually offers.

The video has been uploaded by HuQ Riaz on their youtube  channel. The video shows a Mitsubishi Xpander which is available on sale in Bangladesh. The video starts by showing the exterior of the MPV. Like other international models from Mitsubishi, Xpander also has a very distinct looking front. The front gets something that Mitsubishi calls Dynamic shield which is the ‘X’ shaped design. The LED DRLs are basically the extension of the grille on the top.

The headlamps are placed on the lower part of the bumper. Moving to the side profile, the car looks quite long and the sporty looking 16 inch alloy wheels look good on the MPV. The Xpander has a ground clearance of 205 mm which makes it a good option for areas with very bad roads. Moving to the rear, it has a split LED light set up with decent amount of boot space with all the three rows up.

The video then shows the cabin with an all-black tone to it. The seats get a brown coloured fabric whereas the steering wheel gets a leather wrapping around it. It is a multi function steering wheel with cruise control and can adjusted for both reach and rake. It gets faux carbon fibre inserts on the door pads.

Apart from that, it offers analogue-digital instrument cluster, manual AC, roof mounted AC vents for rear passengers, number of storage spaces, touchscreen infotainment screen and so on. The vlogger is over 6 feet tall and as per the video he could easily get in and out of the third row and he even said that, there was ample amount of space even at the third row.

The Mitsubishi Xpander is powered by a 1.5 litre petrol engine generating 104 PS and 141 Nm of torque. It is a front wheel drive MPV which comes with 4-speed automatic transmission. In Bangladesh, it is priced at Rs 32 lakh Taka which is approximately 28 lakh INR. It even comes with a CNG and LPG fuel options. For the Indian market, the petrol engine is expected to be standard.  The XPander will take on the Maruti Ertiga.
