Tata showcased the Tiago JTP at the 2018 Auto Expo. JayemAutomotives and Tata have collaborated to make this hot hatch happen. Hence, the suffix JTP. The Tiago JTP will be the most affordable hot hatchback in India upon its launch. It will carry a sticker price of around Rs. 6 lakhs, which is quite a bargain when you look at the competition.

Cosmetic upgrades include an air intake on the bonnet, refreshed black grille, redesigned bumpers, and a JTP logo on the grille. It will be powered by the same 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine that powers the Nexon. However, the engine will be re-tuned to churn out a maximum of 108 Bhp and 150 Nm. Like a true blue hot hatch the Tiago JTP will sport a manual transmission only. It will be launched next month during the festive season.

The Ford Figo facelift is just round the corner and Ford has already made plans to rekindle the enthusiast in us. The company will bring in a S version of the car too which, as the name suggests, will be a sportier version of the regular car. There will be a new 1.2-litre Dragon petrol engine that has made its debut on the Freestyle. This engine churns out 95 Bhp of power and 115 Nm of Torque. The diesel engine will remain unchanged from the last model.

The rest of the design will be in lieu with the upcoming facelifted model, which includes a new front bumper and a sleeker front grille. The Figo S will also have a different set of alloys, a black roof and an all-black interior to make it stand out from rest of the pack.

Design changes will include changes to the front and rear bumper. Some panels may be blacked out to give a hint of sportiness. The engine option will be the same as that of its twin Tiago JTP meaning the 1.2-litre turbocharged three-pot petrol oil burner will be on duty here also. In line with its sedan and hatchback updates, Tata has planned a third JTP vehicle for the Indian market. The Nexon JTP is expected to come in 2020 but the thought of having a sportier version of this already excellent vehicle grabbed our attention. Since the launch is far away now, the JTP version could be based on an updated Nexon too.

The current Tata Nexon petrol is powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine that outputs 108 Bhp and 170 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to either a 6-speed manual or an AMT unit. The JTP version will have shorter gear ratios and much more power and torque out put to make driving a fun experience.

News of the Jeep Compass Trailhawk has been doing the rounds for quite some time now. The latest reports indicate that it will be launched in the early 2019. It was intended to be launched by mid-2018, but the upcoming BSVI norms could have a hand in this delay.

In India, the Compass Trailhawk will get the same 2.0-litre Multijet diesel engine that churns out a maximum of 173 Bhp of power and 350 Nm of torque. It gets a 9-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and will be offered in a single variant. The price tag is expected to be around Rs. 25 lakhs.

The Kodiaq will be the first SUV by Skoda that will don the RS badge on its grille. The car will get a 2.0-litre TDI twin turbo engine which produces 236 Bhp of power and an earth-moving 500 Nm of torque. This is the most powerful diesel engine made by the company ever. The Skoda Kodiaq that is sold in India too gets a 2.0-litre diesel engine which makes 148 Bhp and 340 Nm while being paired to a 7-speed DSG. But the twin turbo and the vRS magic sauce have turned the tables on this one.

When launched, it will be the quickest 7-seater SUV in its category. The pricing of this new model will be quite high as compared to the current one sold in India, which is priced at Rs. 34.84 lakh.
