A Glimpse Into The Bachchan Family Car Garage

Snapshot – It would be an understatement to say the Amitabh Bachchan family has one of the most prolific and exotic car garages in Bollywood. With no less than four actors in a single family, high end cars are part and parcel of the glitzy, showbiz powered lifestyle. Today, we take a glimpse at a few of the cars that the Bachchans are regularly spotted in. From Amitabh Bachchan to Aishwarya Rai, here are the favourite cars of these stars.

Amitabh Bachchan, also known as the Big B, loves cars. The veteran actor and a megastar of his time likes to get behind the wheel of his cars whenever possible. The Rolls Royce Ghost is the pride of the Bachchan garage. Notice the registration plate, with BB standing for Big B, while the number 2 is for numerological reasons – Amitabh Bachchan was born on the 11th of October, and is said to be superstitious. Many of his cars feature either number 2 or 11, which adds up to 2. Why, Big B even has “nimboo mirch” on his cars.

The ultra reliable Toyota LandCruiser is a movie star favourite, and Big B drives thus big, butch SUV by himself.

The Mini Cooper S is one of the more sportier cars in the movie star’s garage.

And here’s Big B being chauffeured in his Rolls Royce Ghost.

Jaya Bachchan, herself a critically acclaimed actress and currently a member of the Rajya Sabha, and Amitabh Bachchan’s wife, prefers to be chauffeured around.

Her daily drive is a W221 Mercedes Benz S-Class,

She attends the Rajya Sabha in her Toyota Camry though.

Abhishek Bachchan, who is Amitabh’s son, is most often seen driving an Audi A8 L, or being chauffeured in it.

His other favourite drive is a Bentley Continental GT.

He is also occasionally spotted in the family’s daily beater, the W221 Mercedes Benz S-Class S350 CDI.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, a Bollywood A-List actress, is Abhishek’s wife and like Jaya Bachchan, prefers to be carted around in luxurious cars. The Audi A8 L is one of her preferred rides.
