The actor himself shared the news via his social media profile. From the video it looks like the actor would be getting a limited edition version. The actor mentions in his Instagram post that he has been associated with Ultraviolette brand for years now. Ultraviolette Automotive is a Bengaluru-based start-up which is backed by TVS. He is looking forward to the production version of the F77 electric bike which is different from everything else that we have seen on our roads so far. The F77 is a completely made by an Indian brand or company. The design and technology were some of the factors that attracted him towards the brand. Ultraviolette has been carrying out tests on the motorcycles for more than 3 years.
The sketches and prototypes of the motorcycle have been spotted on various online media. Once F77 is launched, it is going to be the most aggressive looking electric motorcycle to come out of India. The brand recently unveiled the production spec battery pack for the F77 motorcycle. The motorcycle will be officially launching on November 24 and the bookings for the same would begin on October 23. When compared to the 2019 prototype which the chassis has been compltely redesigned and it is now almost two times more stiffer than before. The battery pack hangs below the frame and it is now a non-removable unit.
The manufacturer is said to have effectively worked on the heat management using passive air cooling. The main reason why Ultraviolette moved to non-removable batteries was to improve the range. The aluminium case has 21,700 lithium-ion cells and that translates to usable capacity of 10.5 kWh in the top varaint of F77. After testing, Ultraviolette F77 now has a range of 307 km as per Indian Driving Cycle (IDC). This is double the range of what they were able to achieve with a removable battery pack.
The F77 will offer features like full LED headlights, tail lights and turn indicators, large colour TFT display as instrument cluster, 3 riding modes, integrated e-Sim with connectivity features, 9 axis IMU, shock and impact sensors and so on on. The high-performance electric motorcycle comes with an electric motor that generates 33.52 Bhp of maximum power and 90 Nm of peak torque. It can do 0-60 kmph in 2.9 seconds and 0-100 kmph in just 7.5 seconds. It has a top-speed of around 147 kmph. Price for the Ultraviolette F77 elelctric motorcycle is going to be anywhere between Rs 3-4 lakh category.
