Actor Mahesh Babu becomes owner of Audi e-tron Electric SUV

Popular actor Mahesh Babu has bought a brand-new Audi e-tron all-electric SUV. Mahesh Babu is very popular in Telugu cinema and it is his first electric car. The Audi e-tron SUV is the first all-electric car from the German manufacturer in India.

The new car was delivered to Mahesh Babu by the head of Audi India – Balbir Singh Dhillon. The pictures soon became viral on the Internet.

The all-new Audi e-tron comes with a long list of features. The car delivered to Mahesh Babu gets a deep blue finish. The electric SUV is also loaded to the brim with technology. The car gets advanced features like a soft-touch door closing, 360-degree parking camera, B&O 3D premium sound system, digital matrix LED headlamps with dynamic light staging, head-up display, and a massive panoramic sunroof.

The car also gets a dual-screen set-up that is touch-enabled and gets haptic feedback.  Mahesh Babu has got the range-topping e-Tron 55 variant, which gets an all-wheel-drive layout with a combination of two electric motors. The combined power and torque outputs of the e-Tron SUV are rated at 402 bhp and 664 Nm. The 95 kWh lithium-ion battery of the e-Tron 55 offers a maximum driving range of 484 km. This particular variant of the SUV is priced at Rs 1.18 crore.

The electric SUV is very quick as well. It can do 0-100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds. The 95 kWh battery pack available with the Audi e-tron is also available with various VW Group cars like the Porsche Taycan. It takes 2 hours to charge the car from 0 to 80% using a 50 kW fast charger. Audi supplies an 11 kW AC charger with the e-tron that can charge the car from 0-80% in 8.5 hours.

Apart from Mahesh Babu, former Indian cricket and Audi India endorser Virat Kohli also has an Audi e-tron SUV in India. The cricketer also owns the e-tron GT variant, which is an all-electric sports car.

Mahesh Babu owns a slew of luxury cars

Mahesh Babu owns a slew of high-end luxury cars that he uses daily. His list of cars includes the Mercedes-Benz GLS 350d, which is the flagship SUV from Mercedes-Benz. The actor also owns the BMW 7-Series sedan, Mercedes-Benz GL Class, Land Rover Range Rover Vogue and a Toyota Land Cruiser.

With electric cars picking up popularity in India, we expect to see more celebrities picking up electric vehicles in the future. Currently, Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Jaguar, Volkswagen, Lexus and Volvo are the brands that offer luxury electric cars in the Indian market.
