There are many actors and actresses in Indian movie industry who are car enthusiasts. In Bollywood we have actresses like Deepika Padukone and Kriti Sanon who own luxury SUVs like Maybach GLS600. As we come down to South India, it is mostly actors who are featured for buying brand new luxury or exotic cars. South Indian actress Keerthy Suresh, who has done lead roles in many Telugu, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam movies recently bought a brand new BMW X7 luxury SUV. Images of the actress with her brand new SUV have already surfaced online.
The actress decided to pick her new car just at the beginning of the festive season. The BMW X7 is the flagship SUV from the luxury carmaker. The car is offered with variety of colour options and Keerthy Suresh has opted for the Phytonic Blue shade. The deep blue shade generally looks brilliant on BMW cars and X7 is no exception. Other than Phytonic Blue, X7 is offered in Black Saphire, Mineral White, Tera Brown, Artic Grey Brilliant shades. BMW X7 is the SUV equivalent of BMW 7-Series sedan. X7 is a proper 6-seater luxury SUV.

BMW offers X7 luxury SUV in three variants. There is a xDrive 30d Signature, M50d and xDrive 40i variants on offer. It is not clear which variant did Keerthy actually opt for. Looking at the sportier front-end, we assume that the actress has gone for the top-end variant. As mentioned above, X7 is the SUV version of 7-Series sedan which means there is a long list of luxury features in it. As seen in many other luxury cars and SUVs, it comes with leather upholstery, heated and ventilated seats for both front and rear seat passengers. Electrically adjustable seats for all rows, panoramic sunroof, 12.3 inch touchscreen infotainment sytem, gesture control, Bowers & Wilkins sound system, five zone climate control and so on.
BMW also offers wireless phone charging, ambient lights, air suspension, 360 degree camera, park assist, adaptive cruise control, ABS, traction control, airbags, front and rear parking sensors and so on. Apart from these features, BMW is also offering customers the option to customise the car as per their requirement. Coming to the engine and transmission options, the BMW X7 SUV is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. This top-end M50d variant of the X7 uses a 3.0 litre quad turbocharged diesel engine that generates 400 Ps and 760 Nm of peak torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.
BMW X7 is a huge SUV but, that does not mean it is slow by any means. The SUV can easily do 0-100 kmph sprint in just 5.4 seconds (claimed) and the top speed of this SUV has been limited to 250 kmph. The price for BMW X7 starts at Rs 1.18 crore, ex-showroom and goes up to Rs 1.78 crore, ex-showroom. Depending on the optional extras, the price would go up even more. BMW X7 competes with cars like Mercedes-Benz GLS, Porsche Cayenne, Range Rover Sport and Audi Q8 in the segment.
