Rolls Royce Cullinan
Rolls Royce’s inaugural venture into the SUV market, the Cullinan, presently occupies a position between the Ghost and Phantom VIII models. Notably, it is the first-ever Rolls Royce to include an all-wheel-drive system, and it was initially unveiled at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este in 2018. Manufacturing of the Cullinan takes place at Rolls Royce’s production facility in Goodwood, UK, with distribution worldwide.
Drawing design inspiration from the Phantom VIII, the Rolls Royce Cullinan showcases traditional front doors and coach doors at the back. Inside, the Cullinan is unique among Rolls Royce’s offerings as it features a glass partition between the passenger and luggage compartments. Additionally, the Cullinan includes a distinct characteristic of a pair of leather camping seats that can be deployed from the luggage compartment, referred to as “cocktail suites.”
The Cullinan’s performance is driven by a 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V12 petrol engine that generates 571 PS of maximum power and 850 Nm of maximum torque, mated to an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission that propels the vehicle to a top speed of 250 km/h.
Sharing its “architecture of luxury” platform with the Phantom VIII, the Rolls Royce Cullinan has a suspension system consisting of a double-wishbone axle at the front and a 5-link axle at the rear. The suspension unit is enhanced by an air suspension system that levels automatically and electronically controlled dampers on both the front and rear. Also, the SUV is equipped with a standard four-wheel steering system.
