Honda will soon launch the all-new Amaze in the Indian market. The sub 4-meter sedan was unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo and all the details about the car have been revealed now. The new Honda Amaze will be launched on 16th May. Interested buyers can officially book the vehicle at Honda dealers too.
The new Amaze looks nothing like the current generation sedan. It gets a boxy design that now looks much like the Honda Civic. It now gets a new bumper, headlamps and a new grille. The tail lamps have been updated with a new C-shaped design. The Amaze also gets new alloy wheels.
On the inside, the car gets new illuminated start/stop button. Honda has also added a keyless entry that will allow the users to enter the vehicle without touching the key and then start it too. The all-new Amaze also gets segment-first CVT automatic transmission mated to the diesel engine. The automatic version will also get paddle shifters, making the new Amaze the first car to offer such a feature.
The new Amaze also gets a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with steering mounted controls. The DigiPad infotainment system is quite advanced and also gets WiFi and apps. It also gets Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The steering column also gets a cruise control option. The all-new Amaze looks quite premium and will take on the likes of Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, Ford Aspire and Volkswagen Ameo in the Indian market.
Honda has not updated the engine options. They are the same 1.2-litre petrol engine that generates a maximum of 89 Bhp and a 1.5-litre diesel engine that generates a maximum of 98.5 Bhp. Both the engine options will get manual transmission as standard. However, the CVT diesel combination is first such thing in the segment and will attract a lot of buyers.
Honda is expected to price the vehicle at a slight premium to the current model. It is expected that the new Amaze will be priced at around Rs. 5.5 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi.
