All-new 2018 Maruti Suzuki Swift gets iCreate customization options

Maruti has a range of customization options for the newly launched, 2018 Swift. The 3rd generation Swift can be customized at Maruti Suzuki dealerships that will offer customers a range of options, from decals to interior trims. Maruti also showcased two customized Swifts at the 2018 Auto Expo.

One was finished in red and the other in blue. The red coloured version of the customized Swift featured black decals plastered across the roof and bonnet, a contrast white bumper lip, wing mirrors finished in white, door mouldings and the hatch lid spoiler also finished in white.

The blue coloured version offered additional options such as side skirts, a faux diffuser and a front lip spoiler. The iCreate customization options will be offered for all variants of the Swift but will not feature any mechanical changes. Warranty of the cars customized by through iCreate will remain intact. Also, customers will have the option of choosing one or many parts from the iCreate portfolio.

Mechanically, the iCreate Swift will be similar. It will have two engine options – the 1.2 liter K-Series petrol and 1.3 liter Fiat Multijet diesel. Both engines also get 5 speed manual and AMT options. All variants of the new Swift feature driver and passenger airbags, and ABS as standard.

The 2018 Swift is more fuel efficient than the older version, both in petrol and diesel. It also is nearly 10 % faster in terms of acceleration due to the lower weight. The car also offers a 58 liter larger boot, and has more space on the inside due to a 20 mm increase in wheelbase and 24 mm rise in headroom. The car’s prices start from Rs.4.99 lakhs, and it has already received over 40,000 bookings. The new Swift is built at Maruti’s Gujarat factory.
