All-new 2023 Hyundai Verna crashed on the day of launch [Video]

Hyundai India recently launched the all-new Verna in the Indian market. The highly anticipated all-new Verna has already reached many showrooms across the country and the test drives have already started. Here is the first accident of the sedan.

According to the video, the two underage lads on Royal Enfield Bullet caused the crash. The Hyundai Verna was taking a U-Turn on the road when the two guys riding the bullet darted in and crashed into the front fender of the car. According to the video, the Bullet was doing about 80 km/h and they did not slow down at all. The Verna was standstill at the time of the accident.

Even at the high-speed impact, the car has taken the damage very well and it only shows a dent. The bumper has come off due to the impact but it looks intact. The Royal Enfield Bullet has got massive damage including a bent chassis. The underage guys riding the bike were thrown off the bike and got severe injuries. Both of them were not wearing a helmet. The locals sent them to the hospital for treatment.

The passengers inside the 2023 Hyundai Verna remained unaffected. None of the passengers got any kind of injuries.

Over 30 safety features

The all-new Hyundai Verna gets 30 standard safety features. It is loaded with safety features and also gets ADAS with the higher variants. The standard safety features include features like six airbags, three-point seat belts for all passengers, seat belt reminder for all passengers, speed-sensing auto door lock, impact sensing auto door unlock, ABS, Emergency stop signal, headlamp escort function, automatic headlamps, ISOFIX mounts and rear parking sensors.

The higher-end variants are more equipped and offer features like ESC, hill start assist control, all disc brakes, front parking sensors, electric parking brake, tyre pressure monitoring system, cornering lamps and Hyundai SmartSense, which is a BlueLink feature.

Even the ADAS of the Hyundai Verna offers the most number of features. It includes Forward Collision Warning, Forward Collission-Avoidance Assist for car, pedestrian, cycle and junction turning, blind spot collision warning, lane keeping assist, driver attention warning, and safe exit warning. There are more features including lane following assist, smart cruise control, high beam assist, leading vehicle departure alert, rear cross-traffic collision warning, and rear cross-traffic avoidance assist.

The all-new Verna is the quickest car in the segment and comes powered by only two petrol engine options. There is a naturally-aspirated 1.5-litre engine that generates a maximum power of 115 PS and a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 160 PS.
