We all know that Suzuki is currently testing the next-generation Swift hatchback. Ever since the spy shots and upcoming hatchback have surfaced online, there have been many speculations about the car and there are many artists who have started to imagine how the upcoming Swift could look like. The manufacturer is currently testing the hatchback in Europe and the car is yet to be spotted in India. The next-generation Swift is expected to be launched in the Indian market later this year. Here we have another render that shows how the new Swift might look like.
A Japanese website called ‘Response.JP’ has shared these images online. The digitally rendered images of the next-generation or fourth-gen Swift are actually inspired from the spy pictures that have surfaced online lately. In the spy pictures, the hatchback is completely camouflaged and according to the pictures the upcoming Swift is likely to look a lot more sharper and sleeker than the current generation. It somehow look a lot more sportier in the spy pictures.

The render image seen here in the video shows a completely redesigned front fascia of the Swift. The artist has added a sharper-looking front grille with edgy-looking headlamps. The bonnet design can be seen here and it looks the same as current version. A muscular bumper is also seen here on the render image. The lower part of the bumper does not get any fog lamps however, it does offer an LED DRL on it. Coming to the side profile, the signature design of the hatchback has been retained and the major difference you would notice here are the door handles.
The rear door handles have been repositioned and are not on the C-Pillar anymore. The C-pillar does looks wider in the images and the other difference here are the wheels. The design of the alloy wheels in the render are different from the current version. The artist has completely painted the roof and pillars in black and just like the front, the rear of the hatchback is also expected to be redesigned. The render does not show how the car might look like.
The upcoming Swift is expected to bigger in terms of length and width when compared to current generation Swift. The car would come with a completely redesigned dashboard. It might also get Suzuki’s new touchscreen infotainment system which we have seen in cars like Brezza. Maruti Suzuki is expected to offer a strong hybrid system with the Swift which would offer better fuel efficiency. Like in the case with Grand Vitara, Maruti Suzuki is expected to offer both mild hybrid and strong hybrid versions in the market.
The regular version of Swift will be powered by the same 1.2 litre DualJet petrol engine which will be offered with a 5-speed manual and an AMT gearbox. The strong hybrid version might use a 1.2 litre naturally aspirated engine paired with an electric motor. This engine is expected to return a fuel economy anywhere between 35-40 kmpl. This engine might be paired with a CVT gearbox.
