All-new 2023 Tata Nexon EV Facelift launched at Rs 14.74 lakh in India

Soon after revealing the price for the all-new Tata Nexon facelift, the company has also revealed the price for the new 2023 Nexon EV facelift as well. Tata Motors has launched the new Nexon EV facelift with a starting price of Rs 14.74 lakh, and it will go up to Rs 19.94 lakh. Just like the Nexon facelift, reservations for the new Nexon EV facelift have also already commenced.

Nexon EV variants and pricing

Tata Motors has launched the all-new 2023 Nexon EV with 6 variants to choose from. These variants are namely Creative+, Fearless, Fearless+, Fearless+S, Empowered, and Empowered+. Additionally, the Nexon EV is offered with two different battery options, the first is the MR (medium range), and the other is the LR (long range).

Starting with the pricing of the new MR model of the new Nexon EV facelift, MR will be offered with all the above-mentioned trims except Empowered+. The MR model will start at Rs 14.74 lakh and go up to Rs 17.84 lakh. Meanwhile, the LR model will also be offered in all variants except the Creative+ and Empowered variants. It will start at Rs 18.19 lakh and will go up to Rs 19.94 lakh.

In terms of changes on the outside, the new Nexon EV facelift will look exactly like the new Nexon facelift. However, on the front, instead of the separate LED DRLs, it will come equipped with a full-width LED DRL which will also show the battery level during the charging process. Apart from this, it will come with the same split headlamp design. Another difference between the two models will be the slatted grille design on the new Nexon EV facelift.

On the sides, the car will look exactly like the Nexon facelift. The new Nexon EV facelift gets a brand new set of 16-inch alloy aero blade-style alloy wheels. Apart from that, the rear end will be exactly the same as the new ICE model and will get the same futuristic-looking Y-shaped LED taillights which will come equipped with a single strip of connected LED brake light in the middle. The rear bumper has also been made a lot more aggressive, and it features a massive silver skid plate. The car will also get the new Nexon EV badge in the rear.

On the inside, the new Nexon EV facelift gets the same interior as the Nexon facelift, which means it has also been inspired by the upcoming Tata Curvv SUV. It now features a cleaner and more minimalistic dashboard design loaded with features. The Nexon EV facelift features a brand new 12.23-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is bigger than the 10.25-inch display on the Nexon facelift.

It also gets the same touch-based HVAC controls with two physical toggle switches for temperature and blower speed. Additionally, it also gets the same newly designed two-spoke high-gloss black steering wheel. In terms of features, both the Nexon facelift and Nexon EV facelift come with amenities such as wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 360-degree camera, ventilated and height-adjustable front seats, a JBL 9-speaker system, an air purifier, a single-pane electric sunroof, fast-charging Type-C ports, a wireless charger, and the newly launched Arcade EV app suite. This new feature allows vehicle owners to stream OTT platforms such as Disney+Hotstar and Prime Video.

Nexon EV facelift drivetrain options

Coming to the Nexon EV facelift’s drivetrain options, the company will now be offering the Nexon EV facelift in two trims, the first is the Medium Range (MR), and the other is the Long Range (LR). The Nexon EV MR still uses a 30kWh battery, whereas the LR variant continues to boast the same larger 40.5kWh battery. The MR version will offer a claimed range of 325 kilometers on a single charge, while the LR version can go up to 465 kilometers on a single charge according to the company.

In terms of performance, the MR version of the Nexon EV produces 129 horsepower and 215 Newton-meters of torque, while the LR version generates 145 horsepower and the same 215 Newton-meters of torque. Interestingly, the MR variant has slightly less torque compared to the previous version, with a decrease of 30 Newton-meters, and the LR variant’s torque is down by 38 Newton-meters. Tata claims that the LR version can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 8.9 seconds, has a top speed of 150 kilometers per hour, and offers improved noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels. There are three driving modes available – Eco, City, and Sport, allowing drivers to choose their preferred driving style.
