First off, let’s talk about the front end of the 2024 Suzuki Swift. The hatchback will be undergoing a radical change in terms of the exterior design, and in the front, it will feature a brand new fascia. The front grille, which will be of the same size as before, will be changed completely. It will now feature a high-gloss black color with bigger honeycomb patterns. It will also get a surrounding bezel with a gap for radar sensors on the top. Now, whether these sensors, which will most likely be for ADAS, will be coming to India or not, has not been confirmed.
Next up, the headlights have also been changed, and they will now be all-LED units with a single and sleeker-looking LED DRL. The front bumper design has also been fully reworked and will now boast a much sportier-looking design. The car will get new sharper-looking fog lamp housings as well. Additionally, the lower section of the bumper has also been changed and will now feature a silver element.
Side Profile
Apart from the fascia, the bonnet of the new Swift has also been changed. Moving on to the side profile of the hatchback, it now gets a new strong shoulder line that runs throughout the side profile from the front end to the rear end. A brand new set of machined alloy wheels can also be noticed in the side profile. On top of it, the current-generation hidden rear door handle design has also been ditched, and it will now get traditional door handles for both front and rear doors.
Rear-End Design
In terms of the changes on the rear exterior of the new Swift, the same shoulder line continues on the rear tailgate as well. The LED taillights have also been changed and will now be a little smaller than the ones on the outgoing model. The biggest highlight of the rear is the all-new bumper which, like the front, has been made aggressive. It will be featuring a gloss black lower section which will have a special cut out for the license plate. A rear camera and four parking sensors can also be noted.
Interior Design Updates
As for the interior side of things, the complete interior of the new Suzuki Swift has been redesigned. The dashboard layout of the hatchback has been changed completely and will now be dominated by a floating touchscreen infotainment system. This design is reminiscent of the outgoing premium hatchback Baleno. The air conditioning vents’ shape has now also been changed from round to rectangle. It will be featuring the same automatic air conditioning system controls as the Baleno as well. The steering wheels and the rest of the controls appear to be the same.
Engine Options
As per the reports, the model in the international markets will be coming equipped with newer, more fuel-efficient engine options. However, most likely, the India-spec model will come equipped with the existing 1.2-litre four-cylinder K12C Dualjet petrol engine. This engine will come available with both a 5-speed manual and AMT gearbox. This engine currently generates 90 PS of power and 113 Nm of torque.
