India’s second largest car manufacturer Hyundai recently launched the all-new Creta in the market. The first generation Creta was one of the most popular segment in the country and it looks like the new gen Creta is also following the same path. Hyundai Creta competes with cars like Kia Seltos, MG Hector, Tata Harrier in the segment. Hyundai launched, Creta just ahead of nationwide lockdown in March 2020, and even then the response from the customers was great. Hyundai has now announced that Creta has received more than 50,000 bookings since its launch.
Commenting on the achievement, Mr Tarun Garg, Director(Sales, Marketing & Service), Hyundai Motor India Ltd. said,
Ever since its launch in 2015, CRETA has been a benchmark in the industry, a household name that has represented distinction and success for over 4.85 lakh valued customers. With the launch of All New CRETA in March 2020, Hyundai has once again redefined SUV leadership in the segment and established its supremacy, recording over 55 000 Bookings and more than 20 000 Happy Customers in just 4 months. This achievement stands testament to All New CRETA’s superior looks, feature rich package and dominant performance that has won hearts across India, even during these trying times.
Hyundai Creta received highest number of sales in the month of May and June 2020 and 60 percent of the customers who have booked the compact SUV have gone for the diesel engine version. In just four months, Hyundai recorded over 55,000 bookings and more than 20,000 happy customers. This shows how popular the all-new Creta has become among customers in such a short span of time.

The all-new Hyundai Creta is based on a new platform and is entirely different from the older version. It is now much more futuristic looking and offers more features than before. It has boomerang shaped split LED DRLs, tri-beam projector headlamps, sporty looking dual tone alloy wheels and all LED split tail lights. On the inside it offers features like voice enabled panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, air purifier, Bose premium audio system, paddle shifters, traction control, drive modes and so on.
It is available with three engine options. The 1.4 litre turbo petrol is the most powerful and is available with a 7-speed DCT gearbox only. The 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine gets a manual and CVT gearbox option whereas the 1.5 litre diesel engine comes with manual and torque converter automatic transmission.
