All-new Hyundai i20: New pictures surface

Hyundai launched the all-new Aura earlier this year and the all-new Creta in the Indian market. Apart from these all-new models, Hyundai has also introduced the updated version of the Verna and the Tucson. Hyundai is currently working on the all-new i20, which has been revealed in the global market but the Indian-spec is yet to be officially revealed. The all-new Hyundai i20 is being already testing on the Indian roads and it is not expected to be much different from the international versions. Well, here are new pictures of the Elite i20 without any camouflage on the roads and it looks sharp and aggressive.

These are the pictures from the first-drive report of AutoZeitung. The all-new i20’s design follows the new “Sensuous Sportiness” theme. To make the car look more aggressive, it has become 24mm lower in height, 30mm wider and 50mm longer than the current version of the i20. Even the wheelbase of the all-new Hyundai i20 is longer than the current version by a few millimetres.

At the front, the car gets sharp edges that make the car look extremely sporty. There is a large cascading grille in the front with sleek LED headlamps on both sides. Since the headlamps and the grille seem to be in unison, it gives an extremely bold look to the car. Also, there are large fog lamp housings that further attracts a lot of attention to the face of the car. The body is designed to offer sharp edges and deep creases that ensures that the overall design of the car remains sportier than the current one. Also, the car gets good looking dual-tone alloy wheels.

At the rear, the all-new Hyundai Elite i20 gets massive brake lamps that are connected to each other through a light bar. We are not sure if the connection is a reflector or it can get illuminated. The exhaust tips are not visible that adds a clean look to the car. The window line of the all-new Elite i20 is aggressive too and it is sloping upwards. The C-Pillar is very thin with a quarter glass integrated to it.

The cabin of the all-new Hyundai Elite has changed completely too. There is now the AC vents groove design that runs across the dashboard. The infotainment system is now floating type and it will offer all the modern features like BlueLink connectivity with Android Auto and Apple Carplay.

The engine options in India on the all-new Hyundai Elite i20 will include a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, a 1.5-litre diesel engine and the lower variants may get the 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine. The all-new Elite i2o is expected to be launched by the end of this year in the Indian market.
