All-new Hyundai i20: Have you seen the TVC yet?

Hyundai recently launched their all-new i20 premium hatchback in the market. It is a premium hatchback that competes with the likes of Maruti Baleno, Honda Jazz, Volkswagen Polo in the segment. Prices for the all-new Hyundai i20 starts at Rs 6.79 lakh, ex-showroom and go up to Rs 11.17 lakh, ex-showroom. The car has already reached dealerships across the country. Hyundai has now released an new TVC for the i20 and that shows how spectacular the new hatchback looks.

The video has been shared on Hyundai India’s official youtbe channel. The video is all about how magnetic the design on the all-new i20 looks. It is an all new car which is wider, shorter and has longer wheelbase than the older version. The front gets a wide grille with three dimensional design elements in it. The headlights are all LED and have DRLs and turn indicators integrated in them. It is designed in a way that the headlamp actually feels like an extension of the grille itself.

The bumper looks sharp and has a triangle shaped gloss black garnish around the projector fog lamps. Moving to the side profile, i20 gets sporty looking alloy wheels and the ORVMs are also designed in a way to reduce the drag. The chrome line that runs through the window line joins the chrome arc on the C pillar. The door handles also get chrome garnishes.

Rear is where all the magic happens. It get a ‘Z’ shaped split LED tail lamp and there is reflector bar with chrome inserts running between the lights. On the inside, just like any other Hyundai car, i20 gets a feature loaded cabin. It comes with several segment first and best features like air purifier, ambient lighting, wireless charging, 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment screen, digital instrument cluster, Bose 7 speaker system, electric sunroof and so on. i20 has grown in size and it has definitely generated more space on the inside.

Hyundai i20 comes with three engine and four transmission options. The i20 gets a 1.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine which generates 120 Ps and 172 Nm of torque. It is available with 7-speed DCT and iMT gearbox options. The 1.2 naturally aspirated engine generates 83 Ps with manual and 88 Ps with CVT gearbox. The 1.5 litre generates 100 Ps and is the most fuel efficient diesel hatchback in the segment. It is however available with a manual transmission only.
