We’re just a day away from one of the year’s most anticipated car launch — the all-new Hyundai Santro. Bookings are already open and the Santro has reached dealership stockyards.
While official deliveries of the car will begin from tomorrow after the launch and price announcement, here is a video review of the car that shows it inside out, and what it drives like.
The video we had used here has been deleted by the Youtube channel, so we have added a different video of the car that explains everything.

The video review shows the all-new Hyundai Santro in top-end Asta trim. As you can see, the top-end variant of the Santro is quite loaded, and offers features that its key rival – the Maruti WagonR does not.
There’s a wash and wipe function for the rear windscreen, a reverse parking camera, dual tone interiors, a rear AC blower and a touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
These features give the all-new Hyundai Santro an edge, and if the South Korean automaker manages to price the car between Rs. 3.87 lakhs and Rs. 5.35 lakhs (leaked prices), it has a winner on hand.
The car is powered by a 1.1 liter-4 cylinder petrol engine that makes 69 PS and 99 Nm while running on petrol. This engine will also be available with a CNG-Petrol dual fuel option in select markets of India. While running on CNG, the motor will make 58 Bhp-77 Nm.
A 5 speed manual gearbox will be standard with this engine, which will also get an automated manual transmission on specific variants. Hyundai is said to have designed the AMT unit on the Santro to last longer than the ones offered by the competition by using electric actuators instead of mechanical actuators. Fuel efficiency of the new car is rated at 20.3 Kmpl, which is significantly less than what the Maruti WagonR, or for that matter, the Tata Tiago, offer.
The new Hyundai Santro will be available in 9 trims and 7 colours. All variants of the car will get ABS+EBD, driver airbag, reverse parking sensors and seatbelt reminder as standard safety features. The higher variants will add a passenger airbag and a reverse parking camera.
