Maruti Suzuki India will soon launch the all-new Ertiga in the Indian market. The all-new Ertiga has been seen testing in the Indian market for a long time now and finally, the vehicle will be launched later this month. Maruti Suzuki India has officially started taking bookings for the all-new Ertiga in the Indian market for a payment of Rs. 11,000. The official deliveries will start after the official price announcement on 21st November.
The all-new Ertiga will be available in five colours including one all-new colour. There is Pearl Metallic Auburn Red, Metallic Magma Grey, Pearl Metallic Oxford Blue, Pearl Arctic White, Metallic Silky Silver. The Ertiga will be officially available in four different colours – L, V, Z and Z+. Maruti Suzuki would also offer the automatic transmission with the all-new petrol engine with the V and Z variants. However, there is no automatic option available with the diesel engine options.
The all-new Ertiga is based on the all-new Heartect platform, which also underpins the Swift and Dzire in the Indian market. It has become larger in size and has grown in length by 99mm and has become wider by 5mm. The 2,740mm wheelbase remains the same but the cabin space has increased and so has the boot space. Ertiga remains 7-seater with ample space of the last row passengers too.
The all-new Ertiga would be powered by the all-new 1.5-litre petrol engine that also powers the all-new Ciaz in the Indian market. The diesel engine would continue to be the same 1.3-litre multijet diesel engine sourced from Fiat. The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has also become more comfortable on the inside. However, it is not known if the vehicle will get SHVS mild hybrid system as expected earlier.
The petrol engine produces a maximum power of 105 PS and peak torque of 138 Nm. The 5-speed manual transmission would be available with both the engine options. There would be a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission available only with the petrol engine.
The Maruti Ertiga has also become plusher on the inside. It gets a dual colour dashboard with wooden inserts. The Ertiga would be priced from around Rs. 6.4 lakhs to around Rs. 10.8 lakhs, ex-showroom. It would compete with the newly launched Mahindra Marazzo.
