New exterior design
The all-new Vitara Brezza will come with a new design. The pictures show changes in the front with a new grille and new headlamps that form the extension of the grille’s design. Even the bonnet does not get any deep creases and gets a clamshell design as well. The car also gets new bumpers in the front and rear and the design of the front bumper looks very muscular and strong.
The silhouette of the all-new Vitara Brezza is likely to remain the same. The side design indicates that the overall shape will remain the same. However, the vehicle will come with extensive body cladding that will add a rugged look to the vehicle.
The rear of the car will get new split tail lamps. Also, the tailgate design is new and the registration plate location has changed as well. There is the name of the car in the rear as well.
No Vitara in the name
The rear leaked picture of the upcoming car shows only the “Brezza” moniker, which indicates that Maruti Suzuki will drop the Vitara name from the vehicle. ACI also confirms the same. It is also highly likely that the all-new Vitara, which is a mid-size SUV on sale in the international markets will come to the Indian market at a later stage. The new name, which is any “Vitara” moniker will ensure a clear naming strategy.
A new transmission?
The all-new Maruti Suzuki Brezza is likely to carry forward the same engine option. The 1.5-litre petrol engine will be available with the car and the five-speed manual transmission will be standard. Maruti Suzuki is likely to bring the six-speed torque convertor to the all-new Vitara Brezza, which will replace the ageing four-speed torque convertor unit. Rumours also suggest that the new car will come with paddle shifters as well.
New features
Maruti Suzuki will finally add features that were missing from the current-generation model. This includes a sunroof, connected car technologies, a new infotainment system, a new instrument cluster, and many more such features.
