Tata Motors launched the Safari in the Indian market last month. The SUV has already gathered 3,000 bookings for the SUV. The SUV is now more premium than ever before and has lost some of its ruggedness. The Safari is priced at Rs. 14.69 lakh ex-showroom and go upto Rs 21.45 lakhs ex-showroom. The person in the video folds all the seats of the Safari. He first adjusts the front seats for his height which is 5 foot 7 inches and he still has one hand span of space when he folds the rear seats. The person says that this space can accommodate a small suitcase. The person has also folded the third-row of seats which makes for a completely flat floor for your luggage. Then he tries to lay down in the boot space that he has created. The person can comfortably lie down in the boot space of the Safari. He still has 3 to 4 inches spare from his foot. Then the person gets out of the vehicle and ends the video.

The Safari is now based on a monocoque chassis instead of a ladder-frame chassis like all the generations of previous Safari used to be. It comes with a 2.0-litre Kyrotec diesel engine that we have seen on the Harrier. The engine produces 170 PS of max power and a peak torque output of 350 Nm. The Safari is offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. The gearbox drives only the front wheels. Yes, there is no four-wheel-drive option on the Safari this time. All the previous generations of Safari till now came with a four-wheel-drive system and a low range gearbox. Some purists were a bit disappointed by this thing.
The interior cabin of the SUV is now a lot more luxurious when we compare it to the previous Safari. It comes with White leather upholstery or a Brown one if you opt for the Adventure Persona Edition. There is also quite a bit of feature on offer with the 2021 Safari. It offers rear disc brakes, rollover mitigation, Stability Program, projector headlamps, brake disc wiping, traction control, hill hold assist, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, dual front airbags and a lot more. You also get a boss mode, which can help you move the front passenger seat from the second row. It comes with drive modes, namely Eco, City and Sports. You get automatic headlamps with LED Daytime Running Lamps which double up as turn indicators, auto-dimming interior rearview mirrors, tyre pressure monitoring system, push-button to start/stop, height-adjustable driver seat, rain-sensing wipers. etc. There is also an 8.8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. It also comes with iRA connected car technology. It is connected to four speakers, four tweeters, one subwoofer and an amplifier. Currently, there are six variants on offer, namely XE, XM, XT, XT+, XZ, and XZ+. There is also an Adventure Persona Edition that comes with blacked-out bits and a different coloured interior. Tata Safari competes against the MG Hector Plus, upcoming Mahindra XUV500 and the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar.
