All-new Tata Safari SUV gets a range of accessory packs

Tata Motors just launched their flagship SUV in the Indian market. As we all know it is known as the Safari, Tata decided to bring back the legendary nameplate for their flagship SUV. The bookings for the SUV is set to Rs. 30,000 and the deliveries have already been commenced. The SUV is offered in six variants, namely XE, XM, XT, XT+, XZ, and XZ+. The top-end variant is also offered in Adventure Persona Edition, which comes with blacked-out exterior trims and different interior colour. Now, Tata is offering various accessories that you can get in form of four accessory packs. There is an Accomplished, Accomplished Pro, Adventure, and Adventure Pro.

Adventure and Adventure Pro Pack

If you get the Adventure Pack then you get side steps, dashcam, front parking sensors, back seat organizer, air purifier, 3D mats and bonnet scoop. The Adventure Pro Pack is aimed towards adventure enthusiasts so it comes with jerry cans, wheel steps, luggage bags, roof rack and a cycle carrier.

Accomplished and Accomplished Pro Pack

The Accomplished pack gets you exterior accessories like chrome garnish on the tailgate and rear bumper, bonnet mascot, puddle lamps, mud flaps and chrome trim for the exhaust. For the interior, it comes with scuff plates, carpets, neck cushions with memory foam, an air purifier and sun shades. The Accomplished Pro adds underbody light, front parking sensors, rear-seat entertainment systems, wireless charger and side steps.

It is important to note that these accessories can be had individually also. So, you can customize your Safari according to your needs and preferences. The Safari currently starts from Rs. 14.69 lakhs ex-showroom and goes all the way up to Rs. 21.45 lakhs ex-showroom. It is obvious that if you opt for the accessories or accessory packs then the cost will go up. The Safari currently competes with the MG Hector Plus and the Mahindra XUV500.

Powering the Safari is the same 2.0-litre Kyrotec diesel engine that we have seen on the Tata Harrier. It produces 170 PS of max power and a peak torque output of 350 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

Tata is already offering a lot of equipment and features with the Safari. It comes with LED Daytime Running Lamps with projector headlamps, touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, iRA connected car technology, automatic climate control,  push-button to start/stop, tyre pressure monitoring system, cruise control, mood lighting, automatic headlamps, rain-sensing wipers and TFT screen for the instrument cluster. There is also an electronic parking brake, electric adjustment for the driver seat, auto-dimming interior rearview mirror, panoramic sunroof and a lot more. Tata also offers the Safari with captain chairs for the second-row. There is also a lot of safety equipment on offer which is standard across all the variants. There is cornering stability control, brake disc wiping, ABS with EBD and a perimetric alarm system. It also comes with dual front airbags, ESP, hill hold assist, rollover mitigation, traction control, rear disc brakes and rear parking sensors.
