Tata Motors officially unveiled their all-new Safari SUV yesterday. Tata has already started the production of Safari and the SUV is expected to reach the dealerships across India by the end of this month. Tata Safari is was showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 as Gravitas and earlier this month, the manufacturer made the announcement that the upcoming 7-seater SUV will get the name of their iconic SUV Safari. Tata has now released an official TVC for the all-new Safari that shows how the SUV looks and what all features it offers.
The video has been uploaded by Tata Motors on their official Youtube channel. The video starts by showing the exterior of the SUV and moves to the interiors and the features. As we already know, Tata Safari is actually based on the 5-seater Harrier SUV that got launched in the market back in 2019. The SUV is based on the same platform and has the same wheelbase. The Safari gets dual function LED DRLs next to the chrome studded tri-arrow design front grille. The Xenon projector headlamps are placed on the bumper and the foglamp is also placed right under it.

There is a silver coloured skid plate which adds to the SUV look of Safari. Moving to the side profile, there is dual tone machine cut 18 inch alloy wheels. The design of the alloys are similar to the one seen on top-end Harrier. Safari gets a different looking roof rail with Safari branding on it. A shark fin antenna is also seen on the roof. Moving to the rear, there is a sleek looking split LED tail lamp. Rear bumper of the Safari has been redesigned and looks different from the one seen on Harrier. It even gets silver cladding on the lower bumper which looks like twin exhaust.
Moving inside, it gets signature Oyster white interiors with Ashwood colour on dashboard. The seats are wrapped with white leather upholstery which give it a premium look. The Safari is available with 6 and 7 seat option. The seat version get captain seats in the middle row. Other features that Safari offers is a huge panoramic sunroof, electrically adjustable driver seat. 8.8 inch touchscreen infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, JBL speaker system, multi function steering wheel, semi-digital instrument cluster, auto-dimming IRVMs, electronic parking brakes, Hill descent control, disc brakes on all four wheels, ESP, 6-airbags, multiple drive modes, TPMS, terrain response system, Automatic headlamps and rain sensing wipers and so on. The Safari will also get iRA connected car feature which is seen in Altroz i-Turbo.
The video shows how spacious, Safari is from the inside, there are several storage spaces and in comparison to Harrier, Safari is longer and taller. The engine used in Safari is the same as Harrier. It is powered by the same 2.0 litre turbocharged Kryotec diesel engine that generates a maximum of 170 Ps and 350 Nm of peak torque. The Harrier is available with a 2WD option only. The engine is available with a 6-speed manual and automatic transmission options.
