All-New Toyota Innova Hycross: Exclusive Detailed Walkaround Review

Toyota will be officially unveiling the all-new Innova Zenyx  or Innova Hycross in India on 25th November 2022. It is one of the anticipated launches from Toyota this year. The MPV is already revealed in Indonesian market and we have started seeing several videos related to the same online. Toyota even released a new product video of Innova Hycross for Indonesia. Here we have a detailed walkaround video where a vlogger explain all the features of the upcoming premium MPV.

The video has been uploaded by AutonetMagz on their YouTube channel. In this video, the presents talks about the exterior and interior of the MPV. As we mentioned in our previous articles, the Innova Hycross does not look like an MPV anymore. It looks more like an SUV. One of the major difference when compared to Innova Crysta is the platform. The Crysta is a ladder on frame MPV while the upcoming Hycross uses a monocoque frame. The design of the front grille is inspired from other international models from Toyota.

The front bumper gets a muscular looks and the headlamps are all LED units. There is a faux skid plate at the front. Coming to the side profile, the MPV comes with 16, 17 and 18 inch wheels. The wheel size changes depending on the variant you choose. There are muscular character lines on the side panels and the claddings around the wheel arch as well. Coming to the rear, once again the Innova Hycross gets an SUV like design. The rear section of this MPV again resembles with other SUVs that the  manufacturer sells internationally.

Coming to the dimensions, the Innova Hycross is longer and wider than Crysta but the height remains the same. The wheelbase of Hycross is longer than Crysta and that translates to a roomier cabin. The interior on this MPV looks entirely different. It looks modern and comes with many features that were never offered before. It comes with a 10 inch floating type touchscreen infotainment system. The dashboard has been completely redesigned and it comes with a new instrument cluster too. There is a large digital display in the center with analog meters on both sides. The steering wheel has controls for the screen, MID and also the ADAS features.

The MPV comes with adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, Automatic Emergency Braking and so on. The car comes with premium features like panoramic sunroof, ambient lights, rear seat entertainment screens, automatic climate control and so on. There are reclining captain seats at the rear with leg support for added comfort. The MPV also comes with a wireless phone charger under the driver armrest. With all three row seats up, there is decent amount of boot space an the tailgate is an electric unit that supports voice commands too.

The car is available with a petrol engines only. Vlogger mentions that the diesel version is still available with Crysta in Indonesian market but, in India Toyota had stopped accepting bookings for the same. It is available with two petrol engine options. One of them is a hybrid version. Both of them are powered by a 2.0 litre naturally aspirated engine. The regular Innova Hycross generates 174 Ps and 187 Nm of peak torque. The strong hybrid version generates 186 Ps and 205 Nm of combined power and torque. The petrol version is available with CVT gearbox as standard and the Hybrid gets e-CVT.
