Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, the first sub-4m compact SUV from the brand has been around for a few years now. It remains one of the best-selling vehicles in the market. But over the years, the competition against the Vitara Brezza has increased multiple folds. Well, Maruti Suzuki is working to replace the current model with an all-new car. The manufacturer is likely to launch the vehicle by the end of this year.
While there are no official details from the manufacturer, a T-BHP member has shared some inside information about the upcoming Vitara Brezza. Here is what he is saying about the upcoming all-new Vitara Brezza.
The all-new Vitara Brezza will not be based on the HEARTECT platform like the new-generation cars like Swift, Baleno, Ignis and more. Instead, Maruti Suzuki will continue to use the same platform that also underpins the likes of S-Cross and the full-size Vitara in the global markets. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza has scored the maximum number of points in the Global NCAP test.
However, Maruti Suzuki is taking no chances and will offer as many as six airbags with the all-new Vitara Brezza in the Indian market. This will be the first time that a Maruti Suzuki car will come with as many as six airbags. Currently, all the Maruti Suzuki and Nexa vehicles offer two airbags, even with the top-end variants.
Maruti Suzuki will not offer a diesel engine option with the all-new Vitara Brezza according to the new information. It will get the same 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine. However, there will be minor changes to the engine. It currently generates a maximum power of 105 PS and a peak torque of 138 Nm. Maruti Suzuki may introduce mild-hybrid technology with the all-new Vitara Brezza. It will be similar to the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and Ertiga.
The new Vitara Brezza may also offer factory-fitted CNG with a few variants. Now, this is not confirmed news. However, if there is no diesel engine option, Maruti Suzuki may offer the CNG variants. The brand already offers a few vehicles with factory-fitted CNG options in the market. Maruti Suzuki will introduce a six-speed automatic transmission with the Vitara Brezza.
The all-new Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will offer a slew of new features. Starting with connected technology like accessing the vehicle’s features through a mobile app and more such similar features. However, there is also a rumour that the vehicle will come with a sunroof, wireless charger and modern technology features.
Maruti Suzuki has not always been keen to offer a long list of features. However, with the highly competitive vehicles like the Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300 and more, they are most likely to offer new features with the all-new Vitara Brezza.
