Maruti Suzuki is working on a slew of new cars for the Indian market. While the next launch from the brand will be the humble all-new Celerio, Maruti Suzuki is working on the cars like the new Vitara Brezza as well. Maruti Suzuki will likely bring the new-generation Vitara Brezza next year. Maruti Suzuki has also started testing the upcoming model on the public roads.
The all-new Vitara Brezza will arrive in India in 2022 and this is the first time that the test mule was spotted testing on the Indian roads. While the heavy camouflage did not reveal any of the design changes but highly likely, the all-new Vitara Brezza will look very different and very mature compared to the present-generation car. While Maruti Suzuki will keep the design DNA the same as the current version, we will get to see a lot many changes.
The camouflaged test unit indicates that Maruti Suzuki will retain the boxy design shape of the all-new Vitara Brezza. We may get to see different design lines and even features like new headlamps, tail lamps, bumper and alloy wheels that will add a fresh look to the sub-4m compact SUV.

Maruti Suzuki will also use a new modular platform, which is the HEARTECT architecture. This will allow the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza to be strong as well as lightweight to improve fuel efficiency and performance.
Mild hybrid drivetrain
Maruti Suzuki will retain the current 1.5-litre K15B four-cylinder petrol engine that generates a maximum power of 105 PS. It will come with a new SHVS mild-hybrid system too. The current mild-hybrid system will be upgraded to a new 48V that will make the all-new Vitara Brezza even more fuel-efficient. We can expect to get a five-speed manual and a four-speed automatic transmission with the car as well.
Celerio is the next launch
Maruti Suzuki is working on the launch of the all-new Celerio in the Indian market and will unveil the car officially next week. The manufacturer has also started accepting the bookings for the all-new Celerio officially.
The all-new Celerio will utilise the HEARTECT platform that underpins the likes of Baleno, Swift and many other Maruti Suzuki cars in India. The second-generation Celerio is made from grounds-up, which means the design of the all-new car will be different from the current generation of the car.
The new Maruti Suzuki Celerio will deliver around 26 km/l to become the most fuel-efficient hatchback in India as per reports. Currently, the Tata Tiago AMT is the most fuel-efficient car with 23.84 km/l as official ARAI tested efficiency.
