Well, since Tesla is not legally available in India, they have to be officially imported to be registered in India. Since it takes a lot of paperwork, time and energy, most affluent and super-rich families hire an importer to do all the leg work and documentation. Privately importing a vehicle will require a dozen of clearances, coordination and communication. Which is why the work is given to the professionals who do it for you for a fee.

So when the professional importer brings in the vehicle to India, it gets registered to the importer’s name. However, soon after the vehicle is registered, it is handed over to the real owner and the officially the real owners become the second owners on the paper. However, it does not mean that the vehicle is used. It is just a way to make things convenient and since the richest family in India has abundant money, they give it to the professionals. This is how most of the cars are imported to India. There are a lot of supercar owners in India who are officially the second owners of the car. However, they do not care about the resale value of the car, it really does not matter much.

Now talking about the Tesla Model S 100D, it is an extremely powerful electric car that can do 0-100 km/h in just 4.3 seconds!
