Amitabh Bachchan gets a brand-new Mercedes S-Class home delivered

After buying the new Mercedes-Benz V-Class MPV last year, Amitabh Bachchan has now bought a brand-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The flagship luxury saloon is the latest addition to his expansive garage that already has a few other luxury sedans including an Audi A8L and another S-Class S500, which is mostly used by Aishwarya Rai.

The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which was delivered to the actor’s home last week is a S350d variant, which is powered by a diesel engine. It is priced at Rs 1.38 crore, ex-showroom, India without any optional extras. The new white coloured S-Class was delivered at the actor’s home and the pictures were shared online.

The S-Class S350d comes powered by a 3.0-litre, inline six-cylinder engine that generates a maximum power of 282 Bhp and peak torque of 600 Nm. It gets a 9-speed automatic transmission. Even though it is a luxury sedan and will be mostly driven by the cheauffuer, it is extremely quick. As per the official figures, the S-Class S350d can do 0-100 km/h in just 6 seconds. The S500, which is already present in the Bachchan’s garage is the more powerful version of the model. It comes powered by a V6 petrol engine and generates a maximum power of 363 Bhp and peak torque of 500 Nm.

The S-Class is known for offering a long list of features. It includes safety features like front and side-impact avoidance system, lane-assist system and more. It also comes with crosswind assist, many advanced features like blind-spot monitor, eigth airbags, pre-safe seatbelts and more.

On the outside, it comes with all-LED lighting system that includes the headlamps, tail lamps, and all other lighting like the turn indicators. The sedan rides of laser-cut 18-inch alloy wheels and to make it look premium and exquisite, a lot of chrome can be found on the body. The cabin comes with soft-touch panels and the long wheelbase ensures that there is a good amount of space on the inside. It also comes with rear-seat entertainment screens that can be used to play any video or music on the go and there are two seperate screens for the passengers.

The S-Class is the choice for many celebrities around the world for various reasons. It offers one of the most exquisite cabins with a long list of luxury features. It is currently one of the best-selling vehicles in the segment and it takes on the likes of BMW 7-Series and Audi A8 L in India.
