Amitabh Bachchan’s latest ride is a SWANKY Lexus LX 570 SUV

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan celebrated his 76th birthday last week. Recent photos posted on Instagram by his daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai Bachchan have revealed that the family has a new addition in their garage in the form of a brand new Lexus LX 570, which cost Rs 2.32 crore ex-showroom.

The LX 570 is the flagship SUV in the Lexus lineup for India that was launched last year and it is also the most powerful Lexus model currently on sale in the subcontinent today. The Lexus LX 570 joins a host of luxurious SUVs and sedans along with a few sports cars in the Bachchan family garage.

The Lexus LX 570 is powered by a turbocharged 5.7-litre V8 petrol engine that produces 362 Bhp at 5,600 rpm and 530 Nm of torque at 3,200 rpm which is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed sequential shifting automatic gearbox and all-wheel-drive. The Lexus LX 570 sprints from 0-100 km/h in 7.7 seconds and has a top speed of 210 km/h.

The Lexus LX 570 is a massive SUV in terms of dimensions. The flagship Lexus SUV measures in at 5,080 mm long, 1,980 mm wide and 1,865 mm tall. The wheelbase of the LX 570 measures in at 2,850mm long and the SUV weighs in at 2,660 kgs.

Lexus also offers the LX SUV in the 450d guise. The Lexus LX 450d is powered by a 4.5-litre V8 diesel engine that cranks out 261 Bhp and 650 Nm of torque, which is sent to all four wheels via a 6-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel-drive. The LX 450d from Lexus sprints from 0-100 km/h in 8.6 seconds and has a top speed of 210 km/h.

The new Lexus LX 570 joins a rather exotic garage full of SUVs, luxury sedans and sports cars. The Bachchan’s love for SUVs is quite well-known and the new Lexus will be the second large SUV from the Toyota group to make its way into their garage.

The Bachchan family also owns an older-gen Toyota Land Cruiser LC200 which uses the same 262 Bhp – 650 Nm of torque producing 4.5-litre V8 diesel engine found in the Lexus LX 450. Other luxurious SUVs in the Bachchan garage include a Range Rover and a Mercedes GLS.
