Anand Mahindra shares pictures of Actor Amitabh-Bachchan themed Mahindra Thar

Mahindra Thar is one of the most popular 4×4 SUVs in the country. There are several examples of modified Mahindra Thar SUVs and here we have a unique looking SUV which comes with inscriptions of dialogues and other artwork from some of the movies of popular Indian Actor Amitabh Bachchan. The actor shared the post of this Mahindra Thar on Instagram and Chairman of Mahindra Group Anand Mahindra who is very active on social media also shared the pictures on Twitter.

This is what Anand Mahindra wrote in his post, “The fan @anuragchirimar, who chose @Mahindra_Thar for his fan moment with @SrBachchan Brought back memories of the dialogue: Aaj mere paas gaadi hai, bangla hai, paisa hai, tumhaare paas kya hai? Anurag: Mere paas Thar par Big B ka autograph hai.”

The owner of this Mahindra Thar is Anurag Chirimar and he is a huge fan of the actor. He recently bought an all-new Mahindra Thar and customised it with inscriptions and artwork from popular Amitabh Bachchan movies. Luckily the actor noticed and finally met Anurag. The actor clicked pictures with the car and also autographed Thar’s dashboard.

The actor posted pictures of this Mahindra Thar on Instagram. The post read, “he has painted his entire car with dialogues from my films… and his shirt has all the names of my films… when you open the door to the car the sound system starts playing my dialogues.” Another interesting fact is that Anurag had customised this car but, he had not driven it yet. He only drove the Thar after Amitabh Bachchan signed an autograph on the dashboard.

Anurag’s Mahindra Thar features memorable dialogues from some of the popular movies of Amitabh Bachchan from 197’s and 80’s. It had dialogues from movies like Don (1978), Deewar (1975) and Kalia (1981). This Mahindra Thar has actually become a tribute on wheels to the Actor’s legacy. Anurag even wore a Amitabh Bachchan-themed shirt and played some popular dialogues when the actor visited.

Mahindra Thar is actually one of the most popular 4×4 SUVs in the market. It is also the most affordable 4×4 SUV one can buy in India. Mahindra Thar competes with recently launched Force Gurkha in the segment. The SUV is a capable off-roader and we have seen several videos of the same online. Mahindra Thar has become so popular in the market that there is a waiting period of almost an year on the SUV. Mahindra is offering features like touchscreen infotainment system, roof mounted speakers, multi-function steering wheel, cruise control, front facing rear seats, hard top and many more features.

Mahindra Thar is available with both petrol and diesel engine options. It is however not clear which one did Anurag buy. The petrol version of the SUV is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged mStallion engine that generates 150 Bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. next engine available with the SUV is a 2.2 litre turbocharged mHawk diesel engine that generates 130 Bhp and 320 Nm of peak torque. Both petrol and diesel engine options are available with manual and automatic gearbox options.
