However, its deliveries have recently commenced. The first-ever Aprilia RS 457 has been delivered to a man from Hyderabad, and he has now shared the video of his bike where he talks about the on-road pricing and other details.
India’s first Aprilia RS 457 delivery video has been shared on YouTube by Prakash Suraj. As stated, he lives in Hyderabad, and he has become the proud owner of the country’s first RS 457. After sharing the delivery video, he has shared the video of his initial impressions. He also talks about other details about this highly sought-after bike.
After showing the bike at his home, he shows the viewers its first cold start. Following this, he talks about the delivery experience. He states that he took delivery of the bike yesterday and brought it home. He then takes out his bike and goes for the first drive.
The first detail that the owner shares about his Aprilia RS 457 is the on-road price. He stated that he paid Rs 4.95 lakh in Hyderabad, Telangana. He added that the ex-showroom price is Rs 4.11 lakh and the on-road price depends on the city. Next up, he talks about how he got the first bike in the country.
To explain this, he mentions that at the time of booking in December last year, Aprilia offered two options to buyers. The first option was that they can pay a booking amount of Rs 10,000, or they can pay the entire Rs 4.11 lakh ex-showroom price.
He added that the company emphasized that those who go with the latter route will be prioritized for early delivery. The owner then revealed that at the time of his booking, three or four people had reserved the bike.
So in a quest to get the first-ever bike in the country, he paid the entire ex-showroom price for the bike. As the deliveries commenced in India, he was delivered the first RS 457 in India.
Next up, during his 40 km drive from home to the workplace, the owner highlighted the accessories offered by the company. He stated that the bike which he test-drove came with an adjustable brake lever and clutch lever. However, the retail model does not get it.
Apart from this, he mentions that the European models come equipped with a quick shifter from the company. But in India, it will be sold separately. He stated that he has placed the order for these accessories. Once they arrive, he will be the first one to add them to his bike in the country, said the owner.
The RS457 comes equipped with a 457-cc, parallel twin-cylinder engine. This motor generates 47 bhp and 48 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The bike also comes with a 41 mm USD fork at the front and monoshock at the rear.
Both are preload adjustable. The motorcycle also gets a 320 mm disc at the front and a 220 mm disc at the rear. Aprilia offers the RS 457 with three riding modes, three levels of switchable traction control, dual-channel ABS, and many more features.
