Aprilia SR 125 launched in India, goes on sale on Paytm Mall mobile app

Aprilia launched the SR125 automatic scooter at the 2018 Auto Expo. Priced at Rs. 65,310, ex-showroom, Pune, the new scooter takes on the likes of TVS NTorq and Honda Grazia in the Indian market. Aprilia has now started an attractive offer on the scooter through the mobile app, Paytm Mall.

The scooter can now be booked through the payments app and customer who do so get a cashback of Rs. 5,000. The whole process is online and customer needs to visit www.apriliasr.in to order the scooter. The website takes all the personal information like name, contact number, e-mail, address. The website redirects the user to the Paytm Mall site where a dealer can be chosen and the scooter can be booked. If the customer uses BIKE5000 promo code in the offer section, Rs. 5,000 cashback is applicable.

The Aprilia SR125 was launched after the success of SR150 in the Indian market. The smaller engine means a lower price, which in turn attracts more people. The scooter is powered by 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that gets an automatic CVT transmission. The engine churns out a maximum of 9.4 Bhp and peak torque of 8.2 Nm.

It gets a 220mm disc brake at the front and a 140mm drum brake at the rear. It also gets a telescopic suspension at the front and a single monoshock at the rear. The scooter gets a 7-litre fuel tank and has a weight of 122 kg.

Aprilia will also launch a new scooter based on the SR125 called the Storm. The new scooter is expected to be launched by the end of this year. It gets many additional features that will help during the long-distance touring. the scooter comes in brighter colours and gets bigger wheels. The 12-inch wheel of the SR125 has been replaced with the 14-inch wheel in the Storm. It also gets a large front visor, rugged body and is aimed the people who want to take it for long distance rides.
