Audi India has launched a Limited Edition Q7 4.2 TDI commemorating 3 years of Audi in India. The Audi Q7 4.2 is priced at a special introductory offer of 58 lakhs ex-showroom Mumbai.

The mammoth V8 engine of the Q7 makes it the most powerful SUV in India so far.
The Q7 4.2 Limited Edition for India is powered by a 4200cc V8 TDI quattro engine that offers 340 bhp at 4000 RPM and a maximum torque of 760 Nm between 1750 – 3000 RPM. Nothing to complain about there!
This big daddy from the Audi stable joins the other variants in India: the Audi Q7 3.0 TDI quattro, 3.6 FSI quattro and 4.2 FSI.
Audi says that once this Commemorative Offer closes the Limited Edition Q7 would sell at its original price that of Rs.66,12,500 (ex-showroom Mumbai). That is a Rs 8 lakh cut in the price of the Q7 – so if you have a massive luxury SUV in mind, this is probably the right time to buy one!
Mr. Benoit Tiers, Managing Director, Audi India was present at the launch of the AUdi Q7 4.2 TDI Limited Edition and was clearly thrilled about the launch.
The Audi Q7 4.2 TDI boasts impressive performance figures: 0-100 km/h in 6.4 seconds and top speed of 240 kmph. The company claims fuel efficiency figures of of 9.9 liters per 100 kms – not bad at all for a SUV in this class.
It may be remembered that Mercedes had recently launched its GLK Class, it would be very interesting to see how the Special Edition Q7 fares against the Mercedes Benz GL350. Mercedes Benz however has the advantage of brand awareness in India, while Audi being a later entrant is seen as more exotic.
